After a trip to Italy, Millie wasted no time in going out on a mate date with her Corrie bestie Tanisha Gorey
Millie Gibson isn’t going to let her former Coronation Street co-stars get away without seeing her, even though she may have already left the cobblestones. The actress, who is best known for portraying Kelly Neelan in the ITV soap opera, will leave the show in dramatic scenes that will air later this month as her character discovers the terrifying truth about Gary Windass, the guardian.
After filming her final scenes for the show, Millie recently relocated from Weatherfield to northern Sardinia. At the 18-year-packed old’s farewell party on Salford Quays last month, her Corrie friends joined her as she said goodbye to their young co-star. In a variety of glamorous outfits, many of the soap opera’s favorite characters were photographed making their way to The Alchemist bar.
However, the soap opera star has returned to her native country and wasted no time in setting up a date with Tanisha Gorey, her Corrie bestie. In order for Millie to continue her recent Italian excursion, the actress Asha Alahan and she traveled to San Carlo.
Tanisha posted a video from inside the restaurant on Instagram, starting with a shot of her bowl of spaghetti carbonara before raising the camera to reveal Millie, who was nearly hidden by a plate of garlic pizza bread. The teen winked at the camera while holding up her chilled wine glass.
Tanisha, 21, wrote: “Forever my date @milliegibbo.” Millie then posted a video of her friend enjoying her own drink and their appetizing-looking meal, writing: ‘Creating the By getting her a carbonara, Mrs. will be pleased.
They reunited after Millie received gifts from Tanisha and her boyfriend Lucas Whelan that left her speechless. Millie posted a picture of a frame that was hanging on her wall and had two Lego figures inside of it on her Instagram Story. “Roses are red, Violets are blue, You’re my best friend and I love you,” was written beneath them.
Millie tagged her friends and added her own message to the social media post, “Behave you two,” along with an emotional face emoji. The gifts kept coming as Millie flaunted a gold bracelet with a “K” and a “N” in tribute to her Corrie character. She gushed, “The most perfect present.”
Then Tanisha reposted the article with the caption “The most perfect friend.” When Tanisha made her appearance on ITV’s Lorraine in July, Millie was right there by her friend’s side and gushed about her live on television. During the conversation, the camera panned to reveal her in the wing, standing by her daughter.
When the host mentioned that Corrie was a “family,” Lorraine Kelly responded, “And you’ve made some very good pals haven’t you?”
“I love everyone there,” Millie retorted.
