Vanessa Woodfield has been played by Michelle Hardwick for more than ten years in the Emmerdale cast.
Businesswoman Vanessa Woodfield, a partner at the Emmerdale Veterinary Surgery and Tracy Metcalfe’s (Amy Walsh) half-sister, is played by Michelle Hardwick. During her time so far in the ITV soap opera, she has been at the center of several significant plotlines, including those involving breast cancer, long-lost family, and various romantic relationships with Emmerdale residents. Fans’ curiosity about the actress’s personal life is understandable, therefore.
Producer of Emmerdale Kate Brooks, whom Michelle Hardwick publicly began dating in 2017, is now her husband.
Before joining the ITV drama, Kate had previously worked on other programs like the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and A League of Their Own.
In order to have their private ceremony and get married, the couple eloped to Graceland in Memphis in 2019.
Michelle announced the happy news to her Instagram followers at the time, writing: “On Tuesday, September 10th, in over 100 degree heat, I became Mrs. Brooks #graceland #chapelinthewoods #memphis #nextstopnashville.”
Does Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick have any children?
The Emmerdale actress Michelle and her wife Kate have two children together: daughter Betty, who was born last week, and son Teddy, who was born in October 2020.
Introducing Betty Brooks to the world! The 46-year-old posted a couple of adorable images of their newborn on social media. On Tuesday, November 15, Betty made a sneaky early entrance, weighing 5 lbs. 10 oz.
“Our beautiful Betty B, how much we all love you.” (sic)
The same donor, who is willing to meet the kids when they turn 18 if they want to, is also Teddy and Betty’s biological father.
Michelle discussed one day meeting their donor in an interview with OK! magazine before giving birth to Betty.
When Teddy turns 18, he can ask about his father, and we’ll support him wholeheartedly, she said.
Just to say “Thank you so much for allowing us to be parents and giving us the most beautiful little boy,” I’d love to meet him.
Although the addition of more family members is good news, it also means leaving the village.
Vanessa, played by Michelle, will be leaving Emmerdale the following week, it has been revealed.
Following the revelation that Jamie Tate’s (Alex Lincoln) share of the vets was purchased by Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), she will be given a new job offer in Canada.
A clause in the contract that came with it stipulated that Kim would get a 15% discount on any additional veterinary expenses.
Michelle initially believes that she will be traveling to Canada in a plane with her girlfriend Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough).
But when she discovers Leyla Cavanagh (Roxy Shahidi) and her by themselves, she thinks Suzy is using drugs once more.
Leyla provided evidence that this wasn’t the case, but the harm has already been done.
The couple decides to call it quits on their relationship, and Vanessa throws a farewell party.
Michelle is currently on maternity leave in real life, so it is anticipated that she will rejoin the soap opera at some point in the future.
