One of the 10 contestants who joined this year’s Winter Love Island will arrive at the South African villa tonight is Kai Fagan.
Tonight, five girls will enter the villa and choose who they want to be paired up with first, putting science and physical education teacher Kai Fagan’s chat up lines to the test. Although Dean Fagan, Kai’s cousin, also briefly appeared in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, Kai is not his family’s first member to make an appearance on television.
Dean Fagan, who played the mechanic Luke Britton between 2014 and 2018, left the series abruptly.
Kai told thesuns.info and other media the following when asked if he would like to play a similar role to his cousin’s on the show: “That makes it my second cousin.
“He appeared on Coronation Street; I can’t recall the role he played, but I do recall that he worked in the garage and perished there.
I don’t consider myself to be much of an actor, but the door is always open. I’m not closing any doors on anything at the moment.
He gave the following explanation when asked why he applied for the ITV2 dating program: “I just think in life if you get opportunities you should take them.
“I believe that if my life proceeds in a linear fashion, doing the same thing every day, I will look back on it in the future and realize that I might have preferred something a little different.
“I believe that if you are given a chance in life, you should seize it; I know this is not the case, but that’s why.
The more things I can do because I want a life like a storybook, the better.
Kai also hinted that he is unconcerned about his bosses seeing him engage in sexual activity on television and explained: “If something happens, it must happen, right?
“Creating good personalities, good relationships, and positive relationships is a huge part of teaching.
“Nothing will prevent me from returning to teaching in the future if I can prove that on television.
“Like I said, it’s human nature to form relationships, pursue them, and hopefully find love, which is what the show is about, so it’s good for the students.
Dean’s departure from the ITV soap was kept a secret until the airing of his farewell episode, in which Pat Phelan killed him (Connor McIntyre).
Pat teamed up with Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), mother of Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas), and later managed Jason’s Construction.
His grand scheme was to sell some fake apartments in Calcutta Street, but when his partner Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey) stole the money, Pat was forced to stay put and eventually got married to Eileen in 2017.
The rest of his life was spent fighting to keep his crimes hidden; he watched Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis), who had been involved in the flats scam, suffer a heart attack before killing Luke because he knew too much.
