How old is Jurell Carter?
Nate was grilled over his infidelity in recent scenes on the soap and there is still more drama to come for the character.
Actor Jurell Carter was born on March 14, 1992, in Leicester, and he has an English mother and a Jamaican father.
With his date of birth in mind, the actor is 30 years old as of December 2022.
The star attended the Liverpool Insitute for Performing Arts, from which he graduated in 2016.
He was the first of three actors to have ever received a BAFTA scholarship back in 2015, to support him in his final year.
Before taking on the role of Nate in Emmerdale, he had previously starred in VS and Kiri.
The star also had guest appearances in the series Doctors and Home.
Viewers may be interested to hear he did not always have an acting career in mind.
When he was 18, he wanted to be a professional footballer and was offered a partial scholarship to play football over in America.
However, due to the rest of the costs, he was unable to commit to the scholarship.
He previously opened up about the missed opportunity, saying: “It was heartbreaking. I had loved football from the age of three.
“When I got offered the scholarship to the University of South Carolina Aiken it was amazing but I couldn’t find the funds to pay for the rest of it so I couldn’t go.”
“I was so devastated. It was something I loved so passionately, for it then not to go through… it was heartbreaking,” he told The Mirror.
Jurell is on Instagram and he has been keeping fans up to date with his life away from the cameras.
He has been away in Jamaica, which is his second home as his father hails from the Caribbean country.
Earlier this year he attended the 2022 British Soap Awards and he thanked his fans for their continued support.
When he first landed the role in Emmerdale he said on Instagram: “We had to keep quiet for what felt like the longest.
“Cliche as it is, I really can’t put into words how much this means.
“Feel truly blessed and grateful for it and for everyone that’s truly supported me and help make it happen.”
In recent scenes on the soap, Marcus told Ethan Anderson (Emile John) that he was struggling to live under the same roof as Nate because of the infidelity, saying he doesn’t like liars and cheats.
But when Ethan was asked whether he had anything to hide, he laughed off the question.
This means Nate could be implicated in another scandal in future scenes.
