Jeff Hordley, who has played Cain Dingle for more than 20 years, is Emmerdale’s resident bad boy.
With ITV viewers following his character’s tumultuous life as both a family man and the village bad guy, Jeff Hordley is one of the show’s seasoned actors. Fans this week witnessed Cain Dingle’s emotional side as he bid his mother Faith his final farewell (played by Sally Dexter). Despite his frequently busy schedule on set, Jeff in real life is very close to his loved ones despite their long-standing estrangement.
Jeff Hordley, who plays Rhona Goskirk in the venerable soap, is married to co-star Zoe Henry.
He proposed to Zoe on the day she won the Manchester Evening News theater award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 1994, when they both attended the same drama school.
Then, in 2003, Jeff and Zoe exchanged vows in a small ceremony. Despite the fact that they both work on Emmerdale, they hardly ever interact with one another in the show.
According to Zoe when she appeared on Lorraine, the couple intentionally chose to lead “very separate existences” at work.
Does Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley have children?
Yes, Violet Percy, born in 2005, and Stan Percy, welcomed three years later, are the two children that Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry share.
Jeff and Zoe’s storylines were filmed at different times so that one of them could be at home for their young children.
She was at the center of Marlon’s (Mark Charnock) stroke storyline, but Zoe acknowledged that her husband was a huge support.
We frequently practice line learning together, Zoe said to Lorraine.
“Jeff has been outstanding this time. He is merely bearing the burden of what is occurring at home.
“Obviously, he’s managing everything; we have two kids, two dogs, and an allotment.
We’ll switch the baton then because he’s about to get busy and I’m starting to calm down.
The Cain Dingle star also previously discussed how they would spend quality time together as a family at their allotment during the COVID-19 2020 and 2021 lockdowns.
“It really helped Zoe and I during the entire COVID lockdowns, it’s like a two-minute walk from my house,” he said.
“Getting your hands in the dirt is so good for your mental health,” the children and dogs also joined us on the hike.
The simple act of observing something develop is so uplifting because it affirms life.
This week, Cain’s mother Faith passed away in his arms, breaking the hearts of ITV viewers.
Faith decided to take matters into her own hands and overdosed on pills despite the fact that it had been known for months that she would die.
Although it was too late for Cain to stop her, he consoled Faith as she died, leaving him and the rest of the family in shock.
