The persona was involved in the dramatic storm that this week hit the made-up village.
One of the most recognizable characters from Emmerdale is Isobel Steele.
The 21-year-old actress is well-known for playing Liv Dingle on the venerable soap opera. She debuted on the ITV program in 2016, and soon after she won Best Young Actor at the British Soap and Inside Soap Awards.
Liv has had a difficult time in the made-up Yorkshire village because she has struggled with alcoholism. When she began dating Vinny Dingle earlier this year, and the two characters got married, her fortunes took a turn.
Aaron, her brother, visited the community once more to give his sister the deeds to the mill and the scrapyard. The streak of good fortune, however, abruptly ended when Liv became entangled in the violent storm that tore through the village during a dramatic week of episodes.
This week, Liv passed away in heartbreaking scenes after being run over by a caravan in a storm. Off-screen, Isobel formed close bonds with her co-stars, who used social media to post eloquent tributes after the character’s demise.
Aaron Dingle’s actor, Danny Miller, said: “To: @Isobel steele I’m grateful for the past seven years. Aaron and Liv had an unbreakable bond. Never did anyone come close. You will therefore always be a part of my life. Your parents will be extremely proud of you. You, our child, are now moving forward! I adore you, mate. At the caravan, see you there.”
Isobel gave a similar eloquent ovation in return. She uttered: “I appreciate everything, Danny. I adore you a lot. I couldn’t have asked for a better brother and friend to watch the game with. My life has never been better xxx Obviously, we’ll meet at the caravan.”
Bradley Johnson, who plays Liv’s co-star Vinny Dingle, and Liv also grew close. On the occasion of her on-screen husband’s birthday, she sent him a special message. She uttered: “To my husband and my friend, happy birthday. I’m so happy I know you. adore you”
With a video from Isobel’s final day on set that was posted on the show’s Instagram, the two had viewers in fits of laughter. Before Bradley cut her off and told her she had to give her security pass back, the soap star thanked viewers for their support throughout her time on the show.
He laughed: “You’re a little bit delaying your departure here. Simply obtain your pass, turn it in, and sort of leave.” The star’s departure broke the hearts of many fans, who flooded the comments section.
Cathy said: “You’ve utterly damaged me! Wonderfully done!” “Finished me right off,” Rich continued.
Still crying my eyes out, said Amy. Lynn wrote: “Heartbreaking! Still sobbing Liv and Vinny always.”
Isobel has previously appeared in front of the camera before the role in Emmerdale. Between 2008 and 2010, she appeared in advertisements for Park Foods, Bernard Matthews Ltd., Iceland, and Harveys Furniture.
She played Nicky in Lost in 2013, then went on to star in the British drama Our Zoo the following year, a few years before assuming the role of Liv. Isobel is a gifted musician off-screen and frequently posts videos that highlight her singing prowess.
She proudly shared her appearance on BBC Radio Leeds as part of the station’s ongoing BBC Music Introducing feature on her dedicated Instagram account.
The singer captioned a photo of herself performing next to a piano, “If you missed it (I almost did!) go back and listen to BBC radio Leeds to hear my new song ‘Homegrown’.”
Isobel released her debut album, Sounds from the Lounge, at the young age of 18. Isobel once said to Inside Soap about her love of music: “It’s just something I have always done. I’ve always loved playing the piano. I figured I might as well share my lessons since I now write songs and had lessons before.
Although I have a wide variety of musical tastes, Adele has always been an inspiration to me. She is a genius and writes her own music.
