It comes after the change in schedule last week.
ITV has added a new item to Thursday’s listings in response to the shift in TV schedules following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, allowing viewers to catch up on their soap operas.
Last week, ITV broadcast special news coverage following the Queen’s passing, as King Charles III was formally proclaimed as the nation’s new monarch. Emmerdale and Coronation Street were postponed during this time.
Now, with more time allotted for the Yorkshire-based soap, the broadcaster has added both serial dramas to tomorrow’s evening schedule.
Starting at 7:30 p.m., a triple-bill of Emmerdale episodes will air, with additional episodes airing at 8 and 8:30 p.m. Episodes that were supposed to air from Monday to Wednesday will now be available.
The drama will center on Kim Tate (Claire King), whose tough exterior will crumble as she deals with the enormity of her son Jamie’s betrayal. She will finally learn that Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) is alive and well after all.
The hour-long episode of Coronation Street that was originally scheduled for Wednesday will then start at 9 p.m. It will see the start of Toyah Habeeb’s (Georgia Taylor) trial after she made a confession regarding the death of her husband Imran (Charlie de Melo).
Will Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock), an undercover detective who Toyah is unaware of, reveal the truth about her deeds? Will Toyah confess everything when she testifies in court or will she continue to tell lies?
