As viewers try to guess what the youngster will do next, Hope Stape has been making headlines both on Coronation Street and in real life.
In the 2000s, serial killer John Stape (Graeme Hawley) made quite a few waves on the streets, and now his daughter Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) is beginning to follow in his criminal footsteps. Hope is becoming more dangerous by the day, from messing around at school and taking Evelyn Plummer’s (Maureen Lipman) dog away on a train to lighting fires and wrecking cars. Just days after enrolling at Weatherfield High School, she was suspended as a result of her most recent misdemeanors.
After Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) purchased all of her late father John Stape’s books from Freshco’s and hid in the shed, Hope Stape was able to obtain a number of them.
Hope is ecstatic about the idea of being the daughter of a serial killer because she thinks he was protecting her from learning about all the terrible things her real dad did.
To her classmates’ amusement, she began selling personally-signed copies of the book at school.
She then took things a step further by bringing in a hammer so she could act out one of John’s homicides, which upset one of the teachers so much that he decided to retire early.
Which Coronation Street co-star is Hope actress Isabella Flanagan related to?
Actress Isabella Flanagan has been Hope Stape on Coronation Street since 2017.
She has been at the center of several unsettling storylines, much to the distress of her on-screen parents.
In the ITV soap opera Flanagan’s Hope lives next door to her mother Fiz Stape’s (Jennie McAlpine) family and is Ruby Dobbs’ (Macy Alabi) half-sister.
They all share a home with her brother Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), fiancée Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell), their four kids, and his son Joseph Brown (William Flanagan).
Although Hope and Joseph are cousins on Coronation Street, their actual relationships are more complex.
Twins William Flanagan and Isabella joined the soap opera in the same year and frequently appear acting opposite one another.
Their father Chris celebrated Isabella and William turning 11 on Twitter in January.
Happy birthday to these young legends, who turn 11 today, he wrote.
It’s been a busy week, but tonight we’ll celebrate!
The Hope actress is related to other people in the soap opera industry as well.
She and William are the younger siblings of Emmerdale’s April Windsor, Amelia Flanagan, a 13-year-old actress.
Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke), on whom April had a crush, wasn’t exactly amenable when Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) tried to advance their potential romance.
Will the young people be able to resolve their issues or has their romance already fizzled out?
Back on Coronation Street, Hope makes Tyrone feel bad about leaving the family because she thinks he’ll leave again as a result of her actions.
Spending quality time with her will help him convince her that’s not going to happen, but Hope is once again up to no good.
She claims to have her father “wrapped around her little finger” and will make him pay for having abandoned them in the first place to her friend Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan).
