Later, Heather sneakily inquires about Marilyn’s sleep at the diner, subtly revealing her guilt.
Marilyn decides to tell Leah about her suspicion that Heather is her long-lost daughter.
As Marilyn tells Leah about her past, she explains that she once had an affair with a married man while working as his housekeeper, which surprises Leah.
During the relationship, Marilyn became pregnant, but she later felt pressured to give the child away because her boss and his wife insisted they could give the child a better upbringing.
When Marilyn swears to secrecy, Leah is placed in a challenging situation. Will Leah be able to remain silent while worried about her friend?
