Aspects of the most recent House of the Dragon episode that weren’t quite correct were quickly noticed by Eagle-eyed fans.
After the third episode, viewers saw the first CGI error in the high-stakes show.
The character in question was King Viserys (Paddy Considine), and it seemed he left more on display than he had planned.
Fans of the show will recall that King Viserys first experienced an infection at the beginning of the program, which led to the decay of his flesh.
He has lost two fingers and his condition has dramatically worsened in the most recent episode, which takes place two years after the previous installment.
Because of this, cunning show editors have been able to eliminate the fingers from view.
Fans, though, were quick to notice when it seemed like one scene had gotten past the radar.
On what should be his character’s two missing fingers, actor Paddy can be seen wearing a specially constructed green screen glove, but it appears this time the sequence went missed and filmmakers neglected to edit away the humiliating gaffe.
The mistake was quickly noticed by fans online, with one writing, “The CGI money ran out. When passing the paper, I saw the green sleeves on the king’s fingers.
With those green fingertips, a second person observed, “Viserys must be wonderful at gardening.”
A coffee cup was allegedly put in front of Daenerys Targaryen during the iconic feast scene.
In response to the error, HBO clarified that the cup in question was not a Starbucks cup, but rather a craft services coffee cup, and they added: “The latte that featured in the episode was a mistake. A herbal tea had been ordered by Daenerys.
