Recently, Sarah Sugden of Emmerdale has taken a backseat after deciding to relocate to Scotland with Chloe Harris in order to be with her mother Debbie Dingle.
After Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) disappearance, fans of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale have theorized that Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) might make a comeback, but with a new actress in the role. Debbie is connected to Paddy because she was taken in by him and Emily Kirk (Kate McGregor) when she first arrived in the village.
Although Debbie hasn’t appeared in the soap since 2020, the villagers frequently bring up her name.
Sarah Sugden, Debbie’s daughter, made the decision to move to Scotland with Chloe Harris in recent scenes, played by Katie Hill (Jessie Elland).
Sarah made the major decision after learning that Chloe had an affair with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), which led to a pregnancy.
Sarah made the decision to conceal the relationship in order to protect her grandmother Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) from harm.
But even though ITV hasn’t confirmed anything, many fans think Debbie might return from Scotland to the village, albeit with a different actress playing the part.
Others have speculated that she might come back after Sarah passes away from her heart condition.

According to Ryan Glendenning, “Before the wedding, do you think they’ll recast Debbie? She won’t be coming back to the show, according to the actor who currently portrays her.”

Although it’s unclear if Debbie will return, showrunner Jane Hudson suggested a significant character might do so in a 2016 interview.
Jane teased: “I am working on summer storylines right now because I always like to have a bit of a spectacular,” in an interview with thesuns.info and other press.
“If I say that, then I need to think of something right away.”
When asked if any cast members would be returning, Jane joked, “I can’t tell you that.”
She continued by making it clear that she is waiting for the soap opera star to confirm their return.
Could Debbie return to help now that Paddy’s mental health is failing since they have always been close?
Since learning that his wife Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) was having an affair, the adored veterinarian has been having a hard time coping.
As they attempted to co-parent their daughter, the couple was compelled to live together.
But in recent scenes, Paddy decided to leave the village because things had gotten too much for him.
