The beloved family from Emmerdale may end up being split apart after Matty Barton betrays them all.
Jeff Hordley’s portrayal of Cain Dingle, the bad boy of Emmerdale, is presently incarcerated for the murder of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). However, in recent scenes, Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) finally admitted to the murder, revealing the real story. Kyle was fired after reporting the incident to the police while detectives look into the details.
But on Tuesday night, when Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb), Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) were summoned for questioning, everything came to a head.
They all entered with the same narrative, but the public seems to believe Matty broke under pressure.
The detective warned Matty that there would be repercussions if he didn’t tell the truth during the interview.

“I am glad we are making some headway,” the officer said as Matty said: “What you’re saying is, I could go to prison.”

Later in the episode, Moira gathered everyone to go over what they said to the police.
“How did it go?” Moira asked as Mack joked: “They locked me up and threw away the key.”
“I stayed on story, Mackenzie,” she pleaded as Mack continued. As the rest of you were, we will be just fine.”
However, Moira noticed Matty and said, “You’re quiet.”
When they questioned Matty about whether or not he believed their story, he responded, “Doesn’t seem like there is much to say.”
He protested, “Mum, I stuck to the story we decided on.” It doesn’t imply that I am content with it.
Matty continued, “We are perverting the course of justice,” which alarmed the others.
Could Matty’s telling the police what really happened have been a betrayal of his mother and girlfriend?
By doing this, Matty may wind up locking Moira up for concealing Al’s murder. Or even worse, could he have convinced the authorities that Cain was acting as Cain’s go-between?
