Even though Kim Tate is not a character that everyone in Emmerdale can confide in, Mary Goskirk is going to do so in upcoming scenes.
Kim Tate (Claire King) will hear Mary Goskirk’s (Louise Jameson’s) confession about finding love. On the ITV soap, Rhona Goskirk’s (Zoe Henry) mother Mary has been single for a while, and spoilers indicate that she is prepared to put herself out there. A couple of bad dates, though, will make her doubt herself.
Rodney Blackstock (Patrick Mower), whom Mary is about to confide in, will learn that she has a dating app on her phone.
Will Mary be able to find the woman of her dreams? She asks for his assistance in choosing a compatible match.
Since she first started working at Emmerdale, Mary has never been married, and she confided in Kim last year by admitting she was a lesbian.
Future scenes show Mary pushing on with her search for love despite her date’s appearance falling short of her expectations.
Later, Mary is disappointed to find her expectations dashed when Joy proves to be even less of a match than she anticipated.
Although the date with Joy did not go as planned, Mary has not given up on love and has scheduled another date.
But she has a bad time because her date never shows up for a drink.
Mary decides to talk to Kim about her recent dating failures because she is at a loss for who to turn to.
Mary is advised by the assured businesswoman to start using confidence to attract the right kind of women.
Will Mary’s conversation with Kim, which followed, be her third time lucky?
In a previous Inside Soap interview, Mary actress Louise discussed the character’s romantic life.
“I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a love interest,” she admitted.
I pondered whether Kim might be involved, but that might ruin our friendship, so I predict they’ll bring in a fresh face.
Fans of Emmerdale will recall that Kim and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) got married last October as part of the soap opera’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
Kim rode to the village church on a white horse while donning a top hat and a dapper red coat in true Emmerdale fashion.
Following the opulent ceremony, a disastrous storm swept through the Yorkshire Dales, killing Kim’s rival for Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).
Although Kim and Will’s marriage may have had a rocky beginning, things seem to be going well for the two right now.
Will Kim and Will be able to stay together, or could Mary influence her in upcoming scenes?
Should Will feel threatened by newcomer Caleb Milligan (Will Ash), who has been getting closer to Kim in recent scenes?
