The actor has been a part of Emmerdale for a huge 26 years
Mark Charnock of Emmerdale revealed that he had to go to the hospital after getting hurt while filming scenes for his character’s stroke plot.
The Marlon Dingle actor was the focus of an emotional plot that followed his character’s challenging recovery from a stroke, and as a result, he won a number of awards. Viewers who shared their own personal experiences at the time also praised Mark’s sensitive and moving performance.
Marlon had a stroke in March of this year, and the soap has followed his painful physical therapy and arduous recovery process.
Now that Marlon’s posture has changed as a result of the stroke, Mark has admitted that his back “finally gave up” and he had to go get it checked out. Inside Soap quoted the 54-year-old as saying, “I actually had to go and get my back taken care of the other day.
Playing Marlon, I’m always down on one side. I’ve always had back problems because I’m tall, but it finally gave out on me the other day, and I had to go see someone to get it fixed. When you sign up for those kinds of stories, as an actor, you kind of know what you’re in for. Although difficult, it has been somewhat satisfying.
Mark continued by claiming that the plot is the “best he’s ever had” and that he has been doing his best to avoid disappointing anyone after being given such a significant subject to depict.
