In yet-to-air scenes on Emmerdale, Mandy Dingle (played by Lisa Riley) had to choose between being a true friend to Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and going to a glamorous awards ceremony. Despite being divorced, it is clear that the couple still loves and cares for one another. But does Mandy want more from Paddy than just friendship?
The vivacious villager has been helping Paddy as much as she can and is incredibly eager to attend some beauty contests.
In upcoming scenes, Mandy will be getting ready for the occasion while Paddy is en route to see his daughter Eve Dingle (Bonnie Clement).
But he is devastated when the child decides she does not want to spend the day with him.
Will Mandy support her friend during this difficult time, or will her award ceremony prove to be more important to her?
Does the hairdresser want to rekindle a relationship with Paddy and see him as more than just a friend?
After getting married in 1999, the couple went their separate ways before Paddy remarried Emily Dingle (Kate McGregor) in 2002.
Ten years later, he wed Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), and in 2020, he wed Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
After learning that Chas had been having an affair with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) for months behind his back, Paddy fell into a deep depression last year.
He had a wild night of passion with Mandy in February as he was struggling with his feelings.
Later, after dealing with his heartbreak, he admitted to Mandy that sleeping with her was a mistake.
Mandy has remained Paddy’s friend and supporter, but does she think there’s a chance of reconciliation?
In recent months, Paddy has experienced severe difficulties and has even entertained thoughts of suicide.
His family and friends were devastated to learn the extent of his suffering and have been rallying around him as he tries to get better.
Emmerdale fans have a hunch the couple could become a romantic item again, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.
