A fan believes Liv Flaherty faked her death despite the fact that she was killed off during Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
A devastating storm claimed the lives of several villagers, including Liv Flaherty, as the ITV soap opera marked its 50th anniversary on television (played by Isobel Steele). A caravan ran over the newlyweds as a windstorm tore through Emmerdale village. The family held a joint funeral on Friday, and the community said its final goodbyes to Liv and Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter). However, viewers do not believe Liv is truly dead.
Prior to the storm, Liv had a particularly difficult time because her mother Sandra was attempting to con her out of money.
Sandra tried her best to persuade Liv to relapse into her alcoholism.
Liv’s drinks were switched at the bar and she was showered with alcohol while claiming that her mother was the only person she could rely on.
Sandra logged into her online banking account and was prepared to take her daughter’s money when Liv appeared to be unconscious.
She was shocked to learn that Liv was aware of Sandra’s plans and had expelled her mother.
Just a week before the storm hit the village, Dingle matriarch Faith passed away from cancer, adding to the pain.
Although Liv was crushed by a caravan and couldn’t be saved, she was able to get her husband Vinny (Bradley Johnson) to safety.
Before she seemed to pass away, Liv gave an emotional farewell to Vinny and her brother Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
ITV viewers were devastated by Liv’s passing, but one viewer believes Sandra was tricked into believing her daughter had died.
The Dingles may have decided it would be a good way to persuade Sandra not to go back to the village so Liv could move on with her life because Sandra had insisted she wanted to attend her daughter’s funeral.
“So hear me out,” wrote @TheDragon18137 on Twitter. I am aware that Liv from Emmerdale is probably dead. What if she’s still alive, though?
She might have faked her death and told only Vinny and Aaron out of fear that Sandra would return for more.
“To finish the ruse, she passed her ring back to Vinny when they went to see the body.
“Probably false, but a hypothesis I’m clinging to anyhow”
Although the theory is plausible and Liv’s fans undoubtedly want her to return to the village, it appears that she has left forever.
Actress Isobel defended her decision to leave the adored soap opera.
That’s it for Liv Dingle, she wrote on Instagram. It’s difficult to put into words how much I love this show and the characters and how difficult the decision to leave was.
“I’d like to thank everyone I’ve ever worked with as well as those who encouraged me to develop as an actor and a better person.
“I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout the show’s run and who has watched it. We appreciate you, Kate Oates, Ian MacLeod, and Jane Hudson.
You all know who you are and how much I adore you. It was both strange and wonderful to grow up there. I will really miss it.
