When Harry Sugden is hurt on the ITV soap while he is supposed to be watching the child, David Metcalfe of Emmerdale is going to be horrified.
In yet-to-air scenes on Emmerdale, Matthew Wolfenden’s character David Metcalfe will keep a secret from his girlfriend Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins). Recently, the relationship between the couple has been somewhat tumultuous, and according to ITV soap opera spoilers, things get worse when Victoria’s son Harry Sugden (Brody Hall) is taken to the hospital.
David went behind his partner’s back to accuse her of being the cause of his speeding ticket, which caused their relationship to break down recently.
He was worried that a fixed penalty notice might have derailed his plans to expand his company’s delivery service.
In upcoming scenes, David looks through the mail in his store until he finds a letter from the police ticketing office addressed to Victoria.
After reading the police fixed penalty notice addressed to Victoria, David feels disgusted.
David is humiliated when Victoria and Jacob Gallagher (Joseph-Warren Plant) walk in and say they’re going to help him with his delivery plan.
He does, however, choose to keep Victoria from seeing the fixed penalty notice.
Later, while under David’s care, a young Harry hurts himself and requires medical attention.
David panics after realizing his error and drives Harry to the hospital to be examined by medical professionals.
Victoria rushes through some temporary traffic lights in an effort to reach her ill son, but she is stopped by a police car that is waiting for her.
Victoria makes a mistake and accepts a fine and points on her license because she wants to reach Harry as soon as possible.
She dashes through the medical facility and discovers a drowsy and exhausted Harry being watched over by a gravely worried David.
When she finds out that David left Harry unattended while he was opening his shop, rage quickly takes over.
When David finds out Victoria has six points on her license, he is horrified and dreads having to tell her the truth.
When David tells Victoria the truth, how will she respond?
Could it lead to her ending their relationship and barring him from her life permanently?
On Twitter, Emmerdale viewers have been criticizing David’s recent actions.
“David is unbelievable, expecting Victoria to take the blame…#Emmerdale,” wrote Teena Massam.
David cannot use Victoria’s driver’s license; it would be dangerous.
Pam exploded: “Really, David never accepts blame for any of his mistakes. He needs to grow a pair and end #Emmerdale with the word “off,” Victoria should advise.” (sic)
Shannon remarked: “Victoria, it’s time to fling David to the ground! That doesn’t sound like love, does it? You’ve helped him out of a terrible financial situation, and now he’s about to suspend your license in order to keep his. #Emmerdale.” (sic)
