Actress Claire King gave a hint about Kim Tate’s impending departure from the ITV soap opera Emmerdale.
Kim Tate, a pillar of Emmerdale, may be permanently leaving the community, according to Claire King. The 60-year-old actress debuted as Kim in the ITV soap opera in 1989, and for a decade, she was at the center of some explosive plotlines. The cunning businesswoman made a comeback to the Yorkshire Dales in 2018, and she has since become a recurring character.
The celebrity has hinted that Kim’s reign as the bad girl of the village will soon come to an end.
The actress played a prominent role in the soap opera’s 50th anniversary storyline, in which she married Will Taylor (played by Dean Andrews) just before a deadly storm tore through the Yorkshire Dales.
Amelia Spencer, a pregnant teenage girl played by Daisy Campbell, went into labor early and by herself in a barn in the woods. Kim rode her horse out into the storm to find her.
In a desperate attempt to find Amelia, Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) teamed up with Kim, but she tragically perished when her quad bike fell on her and the fuel tank blew up.
Even though Kim returned to Emmerdale unharmed, she sobbed as she admitted to Will that she had no choice but to abandon Harriet’s lifeless body in the woods.
Although Kim emerged from the storm largely unscathed, the actress hinted that she has travel plans.
It was speculated that Kim might be killed off in upcoming scenes after she expressed her desire to spend more time in Spain to thesuns.info and other media outlets.
“I’d also like to add that I had a wonderful time in Spain, so it might be Kim that goes,” Claire said. I don’t have a lot of time to visit there.
She insisted that because her new husband is certain that Kim did not attempt to save the police officer, the fallout from Harriet’s death will “go on for weeks.”
Kim’s rival in love, Harriet, confessed her feelings for Will before their extravagant wedding ceremony.
Prior to Harriet’s passing, Claire said, “I think Will could possibly blame Kim for whatever happens to Harriet.”
If her marriage fails, will Kim leave the soap opera, or could she spend the rest of her life in prison after being wrongfully convicted of killing Harriet?
The soap opera star also discussed how Harriet’s swan song was filmed for the anniversary special that aired last Sunday.
“Never mind the end for Kim it nearly finished me off, being thrown around woods in all that dirt, I am too old for that,” she said, hinting that it may be time for her to stop acting.
In order to portray scenes in which Kim was looking for Amelia, Claire’s character rode a white horse by the name of Ice.
It was actually quite a test, but I was very fortunate because, as you may know, I have been riding for the majority of my life, and the horse handled everything without any issues.
However, Claire became ill while filming the anniversary episode in the woods against the wind machines and required antibiotics.
A seed pod that “blew up there” in the strong winds caused her eyes to swell, and she also developed an infection in her nose.
On reflection, Claire said, “It was kind of traumatizing, but we did manage to have a bit of a laugh Katherine Dow Blyton and I.”
