Chas Dingle, the bartender in Emmerdale, might become known very soon as Matty Barton completes his investigation into Al Chapman’s death.
Jeff Hordley’s portrayal of Cain Dingle, the bad boy of Emmerdale, is presently incarcerated for the murder of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). Few people, though, are aware that Al was actually shot by Cain’s son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn). The only other people who know what happened are Kyle’s mother Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Cain’s lover Moira (Natalie J Robb), who have both agreed to keep it a secret.
However, it appears that Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is growing uneasy and is determined to learn the truth.
Official ITV spoilers state that Matty meets Cain in jail so he can ask the mechanic about that particular day.
In following scenes, despite Chas’ (Lucy Pargeter) attempts to divert his attention, Matty is determined to learn the truth about Amy and Moira and to figure out Cain’s motivation for killing Al.
When Matty says he has a visiting order to see Cain, Chas freaks out.
Matty presents his case to Cain in the prison visitor’s room, but he is immediately rejected.
Although Cain is unaware of it, he is happy to have allayed Matty’s concerns as he departs.
He has no idea, though, that Matty doesn’t take anything Cain says seriously.
Chas is ignorant of Matty’s true motivations for investigating Al’s death.
The bartender appears to believe that he is attempting to identify the unidentified woman that Al was seeing.
The bartender is concerned that her brother may tell Matty about the scandalous affair since Cain is one of the few people who knows about it in order to exact revenge.
In scenes that were broadcast on Tuesday night, Cain yelled at Chas after she sobbed over Al.
Cain lashed out at his sister, saying, “I miss my kids every single day. I used to have a better life, and you come in here and whine about yourself.”
He continued: “I wouldn’t have had to,” alluding to Al’s passing, “if you had felt that much like Paddy to go and sleep with Al.
“You didn’t really value your mother either, did you? If not, you wouldn’t have been in bed with Al when she passed away in that motel.
I would tell him right now what kind of person you are if I didn’t believe that doing this would kill Paddy.
“Don’t come back to see me; you’re as dead to me as our mother,” she said.
Chas has further reasons to be concerned because Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) has been working to make Al’s affair public.
She even kidnapped her daughter to try and extract information out of her because at first she thought it was Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade).
Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb), who is no longer a resident of the village, is another name Chloe has thrown into the mix.
The truth is eventually going to come out, and the newcomer is getting closer to learning it.
