After his son Kyle Winchester finally admits the truth, Emmerdale bad boy Cain Dingle may be released from prison.
Viewers of Emmerdale have been following what has happened in recent months as Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), the father of Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn), has been blamed for the death of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). At first, it wasn’t clear who the true offender was, but in recent weeks, it became clear that the child was the offender.
Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), in addition to Kyle and Cain, are also aware of what actually occurred and have been adamant about protecting their son.
But it appears that Kyle is finally breaking under the weight of his guilt, and it’s only a matter of time before he comes clean.
On Thursday night’s hour-long episode, Kyle disappears after once more wetting the bed.
When police find the child, he or she immediately admits the truth.
The police are persuaded by Amy and Moira, who were called to the station, that Kyle was saying anything to get his father out of jail.
Even though they may have gotten away with it for the time being, when will Al’s real killer come to light?
The actors who portray Amy and Moira recently discussed Kyle coming clean in an interview with Express.co.uk and other media.
Natalie said, “We all get called in individually and the thing is, we all know it was Kyle so we have to pretend,” when talking about being questioned by the police.
“All he [Kyle] is thinking about is getting his dad out, and that’s the thing he can’t cope with,” the Amy Wyatt star explained.
“I don’t even think he’s thinking about the repercussions of what that would be.
“He has got one thing on his mind and he’s not thinking about long-term.”
“It really terrifying for both of them because the stakes are so high,” Natalie said before adding: “We don’t even know if the lawyers are going to get him off, or what’s going to happen with Cain.”
When asked whether Amy or Moira would “kill for Kyle”, the Moira Barton star replied: “Well, I have already killed.”
She continued: “Well, I mean that was a long time ago.
“It was five years ago because Bobby, who plays Isaac is five, so that happened then.
“But the reason I pushed her off that viaduct was that she slated every one of my children one after the other.”
The actress joked, “And at the end, I was still holding my womb together.”
Despite the fact that Moira would go to any lengths “when it comes to her kids,” Natalie said her character “felt a lot of guilt” after killing Emma.
She continued, “She deserved it, but I didn’t really want to have to kill someone.”
