Emmerdale tough guy Prior to the arrival of his long-lost brother, Cain Dingle makes contact with a mystery person on the ITV soap opera the following week. But who might be interested in speaking with Cain?
In Emmerdale, Cain Dingle, portrayed by Jeff Hordley, might receive a life sentence in prison for a murder that never happened. The soap opera legend will be in the spotlight once more the following week when he gets in touch with the unknown person who has been writing him letters while he’s been imprisoned.
According to ITV soap opera spoilers, a prison guard hands Cain a stack of letters from a frequent correspondent.
Cain examines the letters and tears them up after the prison guard has left his line of sight.
But who could be desperately attempting to contact you?
Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn), the son of Cain (Bobby Dunsmuir), and Isaac Dingle (Bobby Dunsmuir), receive two Christmas gifts from an unidentified person.
Is this mysterious gifter passing something to 10-year-old Kyle since Emmerdale viewers are aware he was the one who killed Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) in reality?
Natalie J. Robb’s character, Moira Barton, is interested in who sent the gifts and goes to see her partner Cain in jail to find out who sent them.
As she describes the situation involving the gifts, Cain conceals his worry.
She also informs Cain that his late mother Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter), who passed away this fall, sent him a Christmas card.
The card gets left with the prison guard but when he hands it to Cain he refuses to open it.
Cain is just not ready to read its contents as he is still coming to terms with losing Faith.
He later asks the guard for a phone call but is left on edge when the guard says he’ll see what he can do.
At home, Moira watches Kyle play and hopes everyone will be able to have a relatively normal Christmas.
In the meantime, Cain is speaking on the phone in the prison hallway with an unknown caller.
The prison guard lowers his voice, sounding irritated, as he turns to face Cain.
Cain slams the phone down after hearing the other party’s refusal.
What task has Cain assigned to this person?
It follows the announcement that Caleb, Cain’s estranged brother (Will Ash), will be joining the ITV soap opera.
Caleb will arrive in the village on Christmas Day as the most unexpected gift Cain has ever received, producer Laura Shaw told Express.co.uk and other media.
How will the rest of the family react when Caleb walks into town? What secrets from the past will come back to haunt them? Laura tacked on.
The Dingles’ lives are about to change drastically as a result of his arrival, and 2023 is sure to get off to a fast start.
