After Tuesday night’s episode of Emmerdale, viewers were in disbelief when Cain Dingle was detained on suspicion of murder.
Since Cain Dingle’s arrival in the village, he and Al Chapman (played by Michael Wildman and Jeff Hordley, respectively) have been at odds. But when the mechanic found out Al was having an affair with his sister, Chas Dingle, things got even worse (Lucy Pargeter). Monday night’s dramatic confrontation resulted in Al being shot, and it appeared that Cain was the assailant.
Al’s girlfriend Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) found Al’s body in a barn with Cain holding a gun at the start of Tuesday’s episode.
The mechanic left, though, as soon as she yelled to call an ambulance and the police.
However, viewers saw how he attempted to clean the weapon of fingerprints.
When the police arrived, a manhunt was launched to find Cain, who had gone home to bid his children and Moira (Natalie J. Robb) farewell.
Then, as the bad boy was being placed in the car by armed police officers, Chas showed up.
When the bartender learned that her boyfriend had allegedly been murdered by her brother, she passed out.
Cain, however, denied any involvement in Al’s demise when he was questioned by the police.
The mechanic admitted to picking up the gun and told the police that whoever did it must have fled. I made a mistake in doing that.
After the episode, viewers shared their predictions for the future on social media.
Some people think that Aaron Dingle shot Ale, and Cain covered for him.
While others asserted that a strange twist prevented the village bad guy from actually dying.
Stephen Walker appeared to believe that Aaron would turn himself in, giving Cain the advantage.
He stated: “When Aaron turns himself in, he will claim that he shot Al, which will support Cain’s account. Before it’s too late, Cain won’t know who has turned themselves in.”
He stated in his writing: “When Aaron turns himself in, he’ll claim that he shot Al, which will support Cain’s account. Before it’s too late, Cain won’t be able to tell who has turned themselves in.”
“Think there’s a twist @emmerdale and Aaron shot Al not Cain,” Donna Marie Watkins continued.
“There is no chance Cain murdered Al. He’s probably filling in for Aaron, “Tweeted Jem.
Will Aaron be able to clear Cain’s name if Al was indeed shot?
One fan also considered the possibility that Al is still alive.
