Michael Wildman, a star of Emmerdale, has been playing the evil businessman Al Chapman for three years.
The ITV soap actor, however, is said to have left the show and left Emmerdale in order to pursue other roles. It occurs at a time when the character has assumed a prominent role in the soap opera in recent months as a result of beginning a relationship with community leader Chas Dingle (played by Lucy Pargeter). The bad guy has made quite a stir since arriving in Emmerdale, but it appears his days of causing trouble in the community are over.
The plot, in which the characters jeopardize their marriages and relationships, has captivated viewers.
Michael has really enjoyed his time at Emmerdale, but it’s time to move on, a source said.
They continued, “He’s had some massive storylines, but all good things must come to an end.” in their interview with The Sun.
According to the publication, Al’s story will come to an end the following week after Chas’s brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) finds out about the relationship and a fight turns fatal.
Al joined the soap opera in August 2019, and since then, he has established a reputation as a cunning villain who won’t stop until he gets his way.
The relationship between Al and Chas had been developing for months when they secretly started having a sexy affair behind Chas’s husband Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) back.
Even though the two have been constantly looking behind them in an effort to keep their identity a secret, some villagers already know.
Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), Chas’s son, was outraged when he learned about it, and Chas vowed to stop it.
After the revelation, Al had a run-in with Aaron, but it seems worse is yet to come.
Before Al leaves, there may be a heated confrontation between him and Cain. Will Chas’s enraged brother kill Al?
Al will be threatened with a gun by Cain, but the soap opera has not yet made any official statements about whether Al will be killed off.
An ITV spokesperson was contacted by Express.co.uk to comment on the plot, but they declined.
The affair might be the perfect justification for Cain to finally get rid of Al because he has had a grudge against him for years.
The character’s grief over losing his mother Faith makes it unlikely that he will be able to think clearly.
Could a broken Cain really carry out Al’s murder?
Jeff, who plays Cain, said earlier this year to Express.co.uk and other media outlets: “I think Al and Cain have been circling each other for quite a while, and they have probably been circling each other because of Covid.
The sensible thing to do was to keep my distance from him due to Covid, but if he finds out, this will have consequences.
However, they wouldn’t be the kind you see in November, in my opinion.
When interviewed alongside Jeff, the show’s producer Jane Hudson teased, “It’s Emmerdale, so there is usually a murderer lurking around the corner.”
Thankfully, viewers of the soap opera won’t have to wait long to learn the final verdict.
