After Kyle Winchester’s shocking confession to the police, Emmerdale fans could not help but notice a significant plot hole.
In the most recent episode of Emmerdale, Huey Quinn’s Kyle Winchester admitted to killing Michael Wildman’s Al Chapman. With a plastic bag in hand, the child presented himself at the police station and admitted to killing Al. Fans questioned whether the proof would be sufficient to have Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) released from prison.
Kyle was relieved when his uncle Caleb (William Ash) convinced him to contact the police because he had struggled to keep his actions a secret.
He told police that the plastic bag contained a jumper he had on the day of the shooting because he didn’t want his father to endure any more suffering.
Viewers noticed a few mistakes in the child’s explanation of how Al’s blood was on the piece of clothing.
On Twitter, they claimed that the jumper only demonstrated Kyle’s presence at the scene of Al’s death, not that Kyle killed him.
There was also the issue of why the evidence wasn’t sabotaged in the first place.
So the criminal geniuses Cain, Moira, and Amy didn’t consider destroying the clothing Kyle was wearing when he saw off Al? #Emmerdale, Lee Cotton continued.
Added Ben Powell: “Why was there no thought given to moving the Kyle evidence? Enough people were aware of #emmerdale, the village’s worst-kept secret.”
Observed Lottie Mills: “Oh no Kyle, not again. Why did he still have the jumper and how did he get blood on it? They must have removed that by now, right? Like you’d keep it, really? #emmerdale “
Despite Kyle’s admission, many viewers think he will get away with nothing.
Fans have noticed that he is too young to be sent to prison because of his age.
Ryan Glendenning said: “Not a lot could happen to Kyle anyway at this time post confession.
“He’s too young to go to prison unless he goes to young offenders. Or gets charged when he’s over 18. #Emmerdale.”
Simon Ramsay shared: “Kyle is being so honest. I’m relieved that he’s confessing!
“He won’t go to jail obviously, bc of his age. Cain was silly taking the rap for him, even it’s understandable. #Emmerdale” [Sic]
Now that Kyle has confessed, viewers are concerned about the game Caleb is playing.
GrianneDoherty33 asked: “Poor Kyle, what exactly did Caleb say to him?
“Really? If he was telling the truth, his Dad would leave right away.
Additionally, he has blatantly blamed Cain for purportedly ruining his life the entire time. Would he not want him imprisoned?
Many viewers already believe they know who Caleb really is and that he is related to Chloe (Jessie Elland) or her adoptive family.
They speculate that he might be Chloe’s adoptive father, but the real story has yet to come out.
