Fans of Emmerdale should keep an eye out for tonight’s (October 13) scheduling change because the soap will now air earlier in the day.
As part of a soap scheduling shuffle that was unveiled in March, the ITV show currently airs every weeknight at 7.30 p.m.
Emmerdale has occasionally returned to its old time slot of 7 p.m. in recent days to make room for live Women’s International Football coverage.
The National Television Awards 2022 will be broadcast live on ITV starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, so the hour-long episode will also air at that time.
Faith Dingle’s final scenes will be featured in the poignant Emmerdale episode as her tragic cancer storyline comes to an end.
After enjoying a perfect day with her family this week, Faith is prepared to pass away on her own terms and makes some covert farewells.
Faith’s son Cain and daughter-in-law Moira realize what she has done after she goes to bed at The Woolpack.
Faith’s actress Sally Dexter recently said: “I have enjoyed coming back. I will miss the smiles, the beautiful scenery of Yorkshire, and the abilities, talents, and devotion of the entire group of people I respect, admire, and have a great deal of affection for.
“I’m very sorry Faith can’t come back. You might recognize me if you see me on the street since I’m wearing a few things!
“I’ve always known Faith would return and perish. My plan was to have her protect Cain and Chas from a knife or gun attack in the Woolie that was being directed at her kids by a crazy intruder. I could picture Cain and Chas praising her as a hero as she slid down the bar’s side!
“However, the narrative that Jane [Hudson, Emmerdale’s executive producer], and the group, desired to tell was much more significant and challenging. I can only hope that we did everything we could to render justice.”
