Emmerdale’s Nicola revealed how her character is feeling about the trial while discussing the attack.
She claimed that the woman “knows she has to face all these girls and doesn’t want them to see that she is scared.”
“Nicola believes that facing her enemies and proudly declaring, “I am here, and I am going to testify against you,” will be a necessary part of her healing. You can laugh at me all you want, but I’ll be the one who sends you to jail.
Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), who was caught in the terrible storm, saved Nicola’s life before they were compelled to seek shelter together.
Nicola hinted at the prospect of a friendship forming between the vicar and her character.
“She saw the softer side of Charles,” she continued, “and we talked about Nicola’s PTSD and how she’s been having panic attacks ever since the girls attacked her physically.
“When Charles talks about Ethan (Emile John), Nicola understands that he is protecting Naomi in the same way that he would protect his own children.
“He is protecting his daughter as any good father would.”
The actress did, however, reveal that Nicola is totally committed to obtaining justice.

She is not implying that Charles is at fault for what Naomi did.
