If Kyle Winchester is not cautious when he returns to school around his classmates, his murderous secret may be revealed in upcoming scenes.
Jeff Hordely’s character Cain Dingle is defending Kyle Winchester, his 10-year-old son, over the murder of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). In yet-to-air Emmerdale scenes, a tortured Kyle builds a memorial for Al in the barn where he was fatally shot. Will Natalie J. Robb and Natalie Ann Jamieson’s Moira Barton and Amy Wyatt be able to prevent Kyle’s secret from becoming known throughout the Yorkshire Dales?
The atmosphere is tense when his mother Amy and stepmother Moira arrive from Belfast because Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is still angry that they kept Kyle’s secret from him.
Later, Amy insists that their relationship is over because she is determined to put her son Kyle first going forward.
Additionally, she is adamant about proving Moira’s innocence to her sister Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), who thinks Moira had an affair with Al.
Amy, who is still mourning her lost partner Al, orders Chloe to stop her investigation for Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) benefit.
Even though Chloe reluctantly agrees, she is extremely hurt when Amy asks her to leave her house.
Without a place to go, Chloe tells her sister she is having a baby in the hopes that it will persuade her otherwise.
After some time, the sisters and Matty get along again, and Amy lets Moira and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) know that Chloe is expecting.
Mackenzie squirms, but he is relieved that no one knows the truth because he does not want anyone to know he is the father.
Kyle creates a memorial for Al in another location, obviously tormented by his actions.
The next day, Moira visits Cain in jail because she is concerned about how quickly their secret is getting out.
In the meantime, Matty notices a cluster of rocks in the center of the barn where Al was killed and realizes Kyle was erecting a monument in honor of the deceased businessman.
Cain refuses to acknowledge that his sister Chas Dingle is Al’s real mistress when Moira suggests finding her (Lucy Pargeter).
After seeing Kyle’s tribute to Al, Matty worries that it is too soon for him to start back at school.
The following day, while getting Kyle ready for school, Amy, Moira, and Matty try to maintain a sense of unity despite their obvious anxiety.
Is it a bad idea for them to send Kyle back to school?
Could it only be a matter of time before Kyle tells his peers or teachers that he killed Al?
Fans of Emmerdale are split over Cain’s decision to take the blame for his son, as Tracy Creedy noted on Twitter “Why Cain claimed it was him is beyond me. Kyle’s attitude at school changed when he was allowed to believe it was okay to shoot someone. Didn’t that really help him out?” (sic)
Added Claire Thomas “A secret ceases to be a secret the moment it is revealed. I want Moria to learn about Chas’s liaison and then inform everyone about her as well as the fact that Kyle shot Al.”
“Poor Moira, I wish they would all tell the truth, it would be much better,” said Edith Beevers.
