Kim Tate from Emmerdale has always been at the center of the village’s drama, and she will be pitting Gabby Thomas and Dawn Taylor against one another next week.
Rosie Bentham’s character, Gabby Thomas, has been looking up to Kim Tate (Claire King), her role model, ever since she had an affair with Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln). In contrast, Kim plans to upset the mother of her grandson with the help of her new stepdaughter Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) in upcoming Emmerdale scenes.
When Kim suggests Gabby take the helm of a crucial meeting the following week, Gabby is determined to impress Kim.
The stud farm initiative is the project in question, but Gabby miscommunicates with the client.
When Dawn enters and charms the Tate matriarch, she is embarrassed.
Kim sees potential in Dawn and exhorts the mother to pursue her goals.
When Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) learns that Kim is starting a stud farm, she becomes enraged at her shady behavior.
Kim also suggests that Dawn and Gabby work together, which makes Gabby angry.
Kim realizes Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) has meddled when Dawn declines the offer.
She criticizes her husband for failing to support Dawn and develop her talent.
Dawn has second thoughts and talks to Kim about her worries about the job.
Dawn concurs with the Tate matriarch’s suggestion to hire a nanny to assist with child care.
Later, when Dawn tells Rhona about Kim’s offer, the doctor urges her to accept.
She expresses her gratitude to the mother for all she has done for the practice and her belief in Dawn’s abilities.
Kim hears Gabby’s worries about Dawn in the meantime.
Only one person should accept the offered job, the businesswoman decides.
She advises Dawn and Gabby to follow her around for a few months in order to gain as much knowledge as they can.
After the shadowing is over, Kim wants to hire the best candidate.
Will Kim come to regret setting the two women up against each other as the fight for Home Farm gets under way?
Will might be upset with his wife because he worries that if she doesn’t get the job, his daughter might be disappointed.
It’s obvious that Gabby is envious of Dawn’s relationship with her son’s grandmother.
