Although Jamie Tate’s mother Kim (Claire King) has been kept in the dark about his whereabouts, the Emmerdale public has long known that he is still alive. That is, up until now. She will learn in upcoming episodes that her son, who she thought perished in a vehicle accident into a lake, is in fact still alive and well.
When Kim learns that Millie’s gran Hazel (Kate Anthony), with whom she resides, has been in an accident and is in the hospital, she is getting ready for a visit from Millie (Willow Bell). When Kim visits the hospital, Hazel acknowledges that Jamie pushed her down the stairs, which led to her injuries.
Kim is shocked by this, yet she doesn’t have a hard time believing it. After all, Jamie did attempt to kill her in the past, and she has long assumed that he staged his own demise. Without second thought, she reports him to the police for attempted murder, and they subsequently inform her that he is still alive.
Can it be long before Jamie shows up at Home Farm to confront Kim—or try to quiet her for good—given that he is on the run and that she most certainly knows he is alive and what he has done?
And what more dramatic setting could there be for this than Kim and Will’s forthcoming nuptials, which are scheduled to fall on Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary?
That would undoubtedly be entertaining to watch.
