The worst nightmare of Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) is realized in upcoming Emmerdale episodes when he learns that his mother Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) is back using drugs.
When Leyla developed a cocaine addiction, her life was completely upended. She eventually developed a heart attack as a result of her drug use, and as a result, she decided to enter rehab.
Her relationship with her husband Liam (Jonny McPherson) didn’t recover from the lies, deception, and mistrust and they were unable to reconnect when she returned home, despite the fact that rehab seemed to put her back on an even keel and she felt more in control of herself.
In later episodes, she will once more struggle with her workload at Take A Vow and her sadness as a result of the breakdown. especially after learning that Liam and Bernice (Samantha Giles) had a minor incident at Christmas.
When a potential client cancels a contract, that is the tipping point. When Leyla has had enough, she dials her former dealer Callum’s number.
After that, when Jacob stops by to visit his mother, he makes a startling discovery when he discovers her with the drugs she just bought.
Jacob is adamant that Leyla won’t continue on the previous path she took, which nearly cost her life. He makes the decision that he must take immediate action and develops a strategy.
Will his plan work? Or could Jacob be about to take a massive risk for Leyla’s sake?
