On Emmerdale the following week, Cain breaks off his relationship with Chas, David’s dishonesty might have cost Victoria her license, and Vanessa makes a significant life decision.
The dales will have plenty of drama next week as Leyla and Liam finally call it quits on their marriage and Mack and Charity find out Chloe is pregnant. To learn more about those storylines, click the links.
Changes to the schedule are also coming. The following week features hour-long episodes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with no episodes on Monday or Friday due to the upcoming World Cup.
Next week, after Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) accrues more license points due to an urgent trip to the hospital, David’s (Matthew Wolfenden) lie about her continues to accumulate.
David was hoping to diversify the village shop’s struggling business by starting a delivery service, but his plans were derailed when he was issued a speeding ticket. David had asked his girlfriend Victoria if she would be willing to take the blame for him after realizing that the extra points could result in the loss of his driving privileges.
Victoria reacted angrily to the suggestion, but out of desperation, David went behind her back and gave her credit for being the car’s driver.
He discovers a letter addressed to Victoria and the fixed penalty notice from the police by going through the shop’s mail. David is struck by the gravity of the situation as he looks at the FPN in shame, but he is hoping that Victoria won’t discover it as he hides the letter from her.
David feels even worse when Victoria and Jacob enter and say they’re going to help him with the delivery service. It appears that even if he had lost his license, he could still have carried out the plan with their help.
When David opens the store while the kids are in his custody, the situation only gets worse. Harry, Victoria’s son (Teddy & Brody Hall), manages to hurt himself when left unattended. Victoria learns the news and rushes to Hotten General, and David can’t believe he’s been so foolish.
Unfortunately, Victoria rushes through some temporary traffic lights only to be stopped by a waiting police car. Victoria explains the situation urgently and agrees to a fine and points on her license because getting to Harry as soon as possible is her top priority.
Victoria is furious when David confesses that he opened up the shop and left his own son Theo (Beau-Ronnie Newton) and a lethargic Harry unattended. Victoria eventually finds Harry, who is still in the shop.
David is already at odds with Victoria and is further upset when she reveals that her license has been flagged for six points. Will he summon the courage to inform Victoria of his lies?
Also this week, Cain (Jeff Hordley), who discovers sister Chas (Lucy Pargeter) waiting for him, receives an unwanted visitor at the prison.
Chas starts by lamenting how much she misses her lover Al because she is feeling sorry for herself (what else is new? (Michael Wildman).
Chas’s self-pity is making Cain furious because if she hadn’t been having the affair in the first place, he probably wouldn’t be spending the next several decades in prison, covering for his 10-year-old son Kyle, who was the real killer.
Chas receives a clear message from Cain that he no longer wants anything to do with her.
Additionally, Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) decides for the first time what she wants to do with her life by deciding whether or not to move to Canada.

Chloe confronts Priya about the house Al bought, but when Priya denies the accusations, Chloe is enraged.
As David approaches a letter from the Police ticketing office addressed to Victoria, he feels terrible.
When Samson sees Lydia, Sam, Dan, and Amelia with baby Esther in the café, he feels betrayed.
Wednesday 23rd November (Episode 9727–9528)
Charity promises not to tell Chloe’s secret, but when Charity inquires about the father, Chloe becomes more tense.
When Chloe storms into the Woolpack and looks like she’s about to reveal who Al was seeing, Chas becomes alarmed.
Leyla and Liam are devastated when they realize they aren’t a good match for one another.
Thursday 24th November (Episodes 9729–9530)
Leyla’s plight breaks Priya’s heart.
Finally, Vanessa makes a choice regarding Canada.
Victoria is furious to learn that David left the kids unattended as she rushes to the hospital to find Harry.
