In upcoming scenes, Emmerdale businessman David Metcalfe will visit the devastated village where he will meet a distraught local population.
David Metcalfe (played by Matthew Wolfenden) is trying to save the village as part of a new business endeavor after the devastating storm in Emmerdale. The returning businessman is persuaded to improve the neighborhood as part of a regeneration project. Will his strategy, though, go as smoothly as he anticipates?
David was helping Alicia (Natalie Anderson), who is in Portugal but had an accident while traveling, while he was away.
He returns to a village that has been completely destroyed by the enormous storm that has completely destroyed Emmerdale Farm.
ITV soap opera Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) teaches him the value of moving on, according to official spoilers.
She urges the businessman to start bringing in new clients and tries to uplift a dejected David.
David is still concerned about his company’s setback, on top of his earlier concerns from having to deal with the pandemic’s effects.
His father, Eric Pollard, bailed him out earlier this year after he struggled with debt related to the shop (Chris Chittell).
With Bernice’s assistance and encouraging words, David might experience better times in the future.
However, he and his neighbors will need a lot of time to heal from the traumatic experience.
The storm has already claimed the lives of two people, including Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton), who died after falling off her quad bike.
Despite Kim Tate’s (Claire King) best efforts, she died in the woods while searching for missing Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell).
Katherine spoke to Digital Spy before leaving and said: “Reading it made me very emotional. On the actual day, I was covered in blood and my hair was covered in various pieces of wood.”
You could literally feel sand and other debris being blown into your eyes by these large industrial wind turbines.
“So when it came down to it, it wasn’t as emotional because the technicality of what you have to do takes away from the emotion,” she continued to Digital Spy. “I managed to get through the day without crying.”
Fans were shocked to see Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steel), a beloved Emmerdale character, die from the severe weather.
She was killed by a caravan on the shocking episode of October 19 as she made her way to the bar to defend Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) daughter.
Sam Dingle (James Hooton) was horribly impaled on a spike somewhere else in the village.
He chased some cows that had escaped the farm but landed on the farming equipment in gory scenes.
To commemorate the show’s 50th anniversary, the episode ended with a cliffhanger for the audience.
However, they were happy to learn that the endearing character recovered from the wounds in the hospital.
