Residents of Emmerdale are still working to recover from the deadly storm that tore the community apart last week, and Dan Spencer, the partner of the late Harriet Finch, starts to wonder if she had feelings for him before she passed away.
Fans of Emmerdale will be aware that on the day of the fatal storm that claimed her life, Harriet (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) was still pining for Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) even though he was getting married to Kim Tate (Claire King). According to confirmed ITV soap opera spoilers, Dan (Liam Fox) will confide in Will about his uncertainties regarding how Harriet truly felt about him, and the newlywed will be compelled to tell a lie to the bereaved man.
Dan breaks down in tears when Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) delivers a moving speech in Harriet’s honor in yet-to-air scenes.
Meanwhile, Bernice Blackstock’s (Samantha Giles) callous treatment of Dan astounds Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).
Dan later worries about Harriet and how she feels about him while he is intoxicated.
Will, however, lulls Dan into believing that Harriet was delighted with him.
The fact that Harriet begged Will to leave Kim before their wedding will let viewers know this wasn’t the case.
Harriet recently made another attempt to persuade her ex-boyfriend to take her back.
She set up a personal meeting with him where she vented about Kim.
She continued, referring to Kim’s animosity towards her: “She’s marking her territory, like the b**** she is.”
Making a territorial mark? Will questioned angrily, and Harriet answered: “She is aware of my threat, Will! Her nose picks it up.”
Just because you were once my ex, you say? Will questioned, making Harriet enraged.
Oh, is that it, then? She inquired. All I am to you is that.
Harriet later acknowledged that she still had feelings for Will, saying, “I guess that’s what 20 years of history does.”
What should I say, exactly? Uncertain of his next move, Will enquired of his former love.
Harriet insisted, “That you can’t marry her, after all she’s done to Dawn!”
We were so good together, and I know I ruined everything, including everything that happened with Malone, she argued.
Will interjected, “Should be left in the past,” and Harriet yelled, “Pushed you into the arms of that monster!”
Will was about to leave when Harriet argued that he wouldn’t be content with Kim.
Just hours before the ceremony, Kim and Harriet eventually ran into each other as well.
However, Harriet lingered in the background as Kim entered the church and said, “I’m sorry,” when she caught her attention.
Later, a storm caught both Kim and Harriet in its path, killing the latter.
Will Harriet ever admit the truth about her feelings for Will when Dan starts to wonder if she really wanted to be with him?
