In order to conceal her relationship with Al Chapman, Chas Dingle of Emmerdale will go to any lengths, even turning on her own son Aaron Dingle.
When Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), who plays Chas Dingle, threatened to leave Emmerdale if she didn’t want a future with him, Lucy Pargeter’s character, Chas Dingle, was stretched to the breaking point. Al was persuaded to give her more time by the Dingle stalwart, but spoilers indicate that she will force her son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) to leave in order to conceal her affair.
When Aaron found out his mother had cheated on Paddy Kirk, he was horrified (Dominic Brunt).
The following week’s episodes feature Chas’s concern that Aaron will reveal her affair to her husband.
Aaron is urged by Paddy to get in touch with his mother after the latter realizes that his wife and step-son don’t get along very well.
Aaron nods in agreement, but their conversation quickly becomes tense.
He claims that his mother is still with Al, but Chas vehemently refutes this.
She manipulates her son emotionally into giving up rather than owning up to her error.
When the topic of Aaron’s future in the village comes up, Chas encourages him to leave as soon as possible.
Aaron agrees that leaving after Faith Dingle’s (Sally Dexter) funeral is best for him.
Later, when Paddy informs him that Aaron is moving away, Chas pretends to be sad.
She reacts in a way that makes him more suspicious, and the vet worries.
Will Paddy ever understand what his wife was doing behind his back?
Al tries to contain Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) enthusiasm as their wedding approaches in the meantime.
While reassuring Chas that he wants a future with her, Al tries to keep Kerry content.
In another interview, Chas actor Lucy recently discussed the contentious affair plotline involving her character.
We all enjoy a mischievous boy, didn’t she say? People don’t like them together sincere.
You have supporters of Al and Chas, but we unquestionably have haters of Chas, what she is doing to Paddy, and the motivations behind it.
Paddy’s wife Lucy acknowledged that she “hates” what Chas is doing to him.
She told Digital Spy and other press, “Over the years, the amount of stories that are given to you are a massive gift to have, but not always do you believe it, not always do you justify it as yourself.
“As an actor, you have to trust what your character has been told and look for the truth in it.”
