As people get closer to the truth, Chas Dingle from Emmerdale might be about to have her previous liaison with Al Chapman made public.
Following the murder of her longtime secret lover Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), viewers of the ITV soap opera have followed Chas (Lucy Pargeter) as she works through her grief over the past few weeks. However, viewers will see Chas and her husband Paddy (Dominic Brunt) becoming even closer in scenes scheduled to air the following week as a surprise trip is planned. Her departure might not be as easy given that more people are beginning to discover her past relationships with Al.
Many characters left the ITV soap during Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary special, including bad boy Al Chapman, who was preparing to flee with his secret love Chas.
Although it was initially believed that Cain Dingle, in a fit of rage for shattering his sister’s engagement to Paddy, shot Al, it was later discovered that it was his 10-year-old son Kyle.
Chas is silent about her secret relationship with Al while Cain remains in jail for accepting responsibility in order to protect his son, even though everything might soon come to light in scenes scheduled to air next week.
Chas becomes emotional after discovering some of Faith’s old belongings, and her supportive husband Paddy is there to comfort her.
Later, as she and Eve decorate her Christmas tree before having dinner with Rhona and Marlon, she expresses her gratitude for her own family.
Chas is left more in love with her husband than ever after spending a healthy afternoon being festive and eating a meal.
Chas feels guilty after Paddy surprises her with a gift because she almost considered leaving with Al, but now she’s willing to put their affair behind her and focus on her family.
In another scene from the soap opera, Chloe tells Belle that she has learned that Al took someone out to dinner the night Faith died.
When Belle confronts Chas and Al, who admitted their affair was over, the realization dawns on her that this was far from the case.
Belle lashes out at Chas after learning that they broke up behind Kerry and Paddy’s back and that he was with Al the night Faith died at the Westgrove Hall Hotel.
Chas is unsure of whether to admit that he shares Belle’s belief that their affair was the reason Cain killed Al because she is unable to deny the truth.
She’s terrified that Belle will tell Paddy everything, so she’s later thrilled to learn that her husband has planned a surprise vacation for them.
Belle begins to cry in front of Moira as she tells her everything she knows, making her angry as she begins to connect the dots between Cain’s imprisonment and Al’s death.
The following day, Chas is preparing to leave the village with her husband, who is relieved at how everything has come together. However, because Belle and Moira are furious with her for lying, her trip may be interrupted.
According to a theory put forth by Express.co.uk, Moira visits Chas’ house because she insists on hearing the whole truth from her and won’t leave until she does.
Chas tells Moira everything after realizing she can no longer hide the truth, but she has no idea that Paddy can overhear what she says about her affair.
He storms out of the house, leaving Chas inconsolable, after entering the room to inform his wife that he has just learned about the killing and the secret relationship.
Actor Dominic Brunt admitted in a previous interview with Inside Soap Magazine that he wants Chas and Al to be made public.
I hope he finds out she’s having an affair first, then it’s separately revealed that it’s with Al because that’s the most shocking thing,” he said. Among everyone!
He almost caused Paddy and Chas to lose everything, and he also tried to blackmail Paddy. I can’t wait for the story to be published because it has been waiting.
