Following the death of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) in Emmerdale, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) has been feeling extremely sorry for herself.
We (and a few other villagers) know it was actually Cain’s young son, Kyle, who shot his enemy during a battle in the barn. From the beginning, Chas and just about everyone else was taught to believe that Cain (Jeff Hordley) did it (Huey Quinn).
With the help of Caleb (Will Ash), Cain’s hidden brother, Moira (Natalie J. Robb) and Amy (Natalie Ann Jameson) are attempting to shield Kyle from the law.
Knowing that Cain would stop speaking to her if she accepted Caleb’s assistance, Moira struggles for a while before deciding to follow the newcomer’s best advice and get Kyle to reveal that he was attempting to protect his father.
Chas returns to the town and encounters Kyle while Moira and Caleb go to the prison to meet Cain. Chas is completely aware of the whole truth.
Chas’ heart hurts for her nephew as he apologizes sincerely, which initially surprises her.
But what does Kyle’s future hold?
Cain won’t change his mind about what lies ahead when Liam (Jonny McPherson) sees him later in the prison.
What will happen over the coming weeks now that Cain is determined to keep Kyle’s name hidden by staying in prison?
