When Charity Dingle discovers the identity of the father of Chloe Harris’ unborn child on the ITV soap, she will have her entire world turned upside down.
Charity Dingle, played by Emma Atkins, is blissfully unaware that Mackenzie Boyd, played by Lawrence Robb, had an affair with Chloe Harris, played by Jessie Elland, who had previously dated Noah Dingle, Charity’s son (Jack Downham). Following Chloe’s sonogram, Emmerdale spoilers indicate that everything is about to change.
After having a miscarriage with Mackenzie, Charity has gone through a lot lately.
Her son Noah, who stalked his former girlfriend Chloe and was also imprisoned for it, is attempting to mend fences with Amelia Spencer, his current significant other (Daisy Campbell).
Mackenzie slept with Chloe while Charity was in mourning, and she just found out she was pregnant.
Other than Mackenzie, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) is the only person who is aware that Chloe is pregnant, but Charity will eventually find out the truth.
Upcoming scenes feature an isolated and lonely Chloe attempting to call Kerry on the phone.
Chloe is overcome with emotion during her sonogram as the sound of a heart beating fills the room.
Later, Charity runs into Chloe after noticing that she had earlier ordered a soft drink at the pub and promises not to tell her about her pregnancy.
When a clueless Charity inquires about the father of the unborn child, Chloe’s stomach tightens.
When Charity says Chloe is expecting a man, Mackenzie has to force himself to remain cool and logical.
Mackenzie is in despair at Keepers Cottage as Chloe confirms the child is his.
After her tearful sonogram, she also lets him know that she intends to keep the child.
Mackenzie is extremely uneasy after learning that Kerry knows the truth, despite Chloe’s assurances that she won’t reveal anything to him.
Will he finally tell Charity his sex-related secret before she finds out from Chloe?
He approaches Charity later and takes a moment to gather himself before speaking to her.
He motions for Charity to sit down as he looks at her in the vain hope that he is about to make the right decision.
What will she do when she learns that he had an affair while she had lost her own child?
Will she end their relationship even though she knows she will never be able to forgive Mackenzie for his adultery?
Could she drive Chloe out of the community after her treachery?
After all, Charity is a Dingle, and the family never gives up easily.
