Nicky, the new nanny at Home Farm, is played by Lewis Cope, a newcomer to Emmerdale. Cope acknowledged that his character seems “too good to be true.”
In upcoming scenes, Lewis Cope’s character, Nicky, a new villager hired by Kim Tate (Claire King) to be Thomas’ (Bertie Brotherton) and Clemmie’s (Mabel Addison) new nanny, will be introduced to Emmerdale viewers. But it appears the newcomer impresses Kim with his experience and also captures Gabby Thomas’ attention (Rosie Bentham).
Even though she’s had bad luck finding love, Gabby was eager to work with Nicky—but not because of their relationship with Thomas.
The actor who plays Nicky has hinted that he might not be as squeaky-clean as he seems.
“Nicky’s a great character,” Lewis said to the press, exclusively to Express.co.uk.
He’s very likeable and relatable, and we’re just having fun together.
Lewis responded to the question of whether Nicky had a troubled past by saying, “Right now, he’s a lovely person, and there’s nothing to say [otherwise]… he kind of fits the bill.
We’ll have to wait and see, but he almost seems too good to be true.
Dawn isn’t as excited about Nicky working at Home Farm as Gabby and Kim are.
However, the soap star admitted, “I think not everyone was on board in the interview [at Home Farm]
Dawn was the most difficult to convince because she obviously has a lot of trouble leaving the kids, so I believe she was picky about the kind of person she wanted.
The Gabby Thomas star added, “I think there’s some sort of connection there right away, even from the first [nanny] interview.”
“She calls him a “fit” in front of him, so I believe Gabby’s intentions are immediately apparent.
