After Cain Dingle was blamed for his son Kyle Winchester’s murder, Al Chapman, fans of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale think history may be repeating itself in the ITV drama.
Viewers of Emmerdale witnessed Cain Dingle’s (Geoff Hordley) arrest for Al Chapman’s murder last week (Al Wildman). Cain initially proclaimed his innocence but ultimately entered a guilty plea to the crime in court. ITV viewers have been speculating about who shot Al ever since the incident took place, and many of them think Cain is innocent.
Following Monday night’s flashback episode, it was revealed that Kyle, Cain’s son (Huey Quinn), was the real culprit, proving their theories to be correct.
While Kyle revealed everything to his mother, Cain finally confessed to his girlfriend Moira (Natalie J. Robb) (Natalie Ann Jamieson).
Cain objected when Moira and the mechanic tried to tell the police the truth about what had happened.
When Moira visited Cain in jail, he said, “I know where this is going.
In light of everything, Moira retorted, “With a good attorney, there’s a chance he’ll get a lesser sentence.
But you, you’re in for murder, you admitted guilt, and now this is your life; you’ll never be able to leave.
Cain raged, “My life doesn’t matter anymore.” If leaving in a black bag means I can keep my son safe, I’d be happy to do so.
How about us? Moira enquired. How are your other kids doing?
Kyle is aware of his actions as he gets older, and Moira said, “He knows you’re in here because of what he did.
What will all that guilt do to him, please explain?
Cain continued by cautioning Moira not to take any action that might endanger Kyle’s future.
Moira, I’m warning you. Don’t disagree with me on this.
After the episode, viewers have turned to social media to share their own predictions for what might come next.
Many predict that after taking the blame for Kyle, the Cain Dingle actor will quit the soap opera.
After Lee Posner’s murderer Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) was convicted, some noted that history might repeat itself (Kris Mochrie).
Please don’t mention Jeff’s departure, wrote user @VampLover27.
User @cauccu1 continued, “So Cain is acting similarly to Robert.”
Is Cain really leaving? As Kirsty was saying it, user @ rianicole tweeted: “If Cain is going down for life, does that mean Jeff is leaving.”
Ashley continued, “Hope Jeff isn’t leaving as well, because at this rate nobody will be left.”
Some fans believe that Moira will reveal the truth and free Cain.
“Moira hasn’t promised to keep quiet,” wrote Doreen Moffitt. (sic)
Michael said: “Moira won’t likely just let Cain go to jail, in my opinion. She wouldn’t just up and leave Cain like that, in my opinion. She might try to come up with a plan and assist Emmerdale, in my opinion.”
