Following the tragic death of his wife Liv Flaherty, Vinny Dingle’s heart has been broken by Emmerdale viewers, and many believe he will soon leave the ITV soap opera.
In Emmerdale, Liv Flaherty (played by Isobel Steele) was killed when she was run over by a caravan during a severe storm. On Thursday’s episode of the soap opera, her husband Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) decided it was time to sell the properties he owns in an effort to start over. He has been lost without her. He will be the fifth character to be written out of the ITV soap opera since September, which has viewers worried he will leave.
Vinny has had a difficult few weeks because, as part of the soap opera’s 50th anniversary storyline, he tragically lost Liv, the love of his life.
The majority of the villagers were in tears during her joint funeral with Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter).
Vinny scattered Liv’s ashes earlier this week with the help of his family, but he has been having trouble accepting her passing.
Vinny made a choice in Thursday’s episode of Emmerdale that could have a significant impact on his future and lead to discord within the Dingle family.
Vinny’s mother Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) questioned him about his decision to list his village apartment for sale.
Yeah, I get it, Mandy said. It’s memories, some of which you cherish and some of which you dread.
It’s such a big decision, Vin, I just wish you’d taken more time.
“I still have all the [stuff] to sort out, I just had to get the ball rolling,” he retorted.
His mother advised him against making important choices while he is still in mourning for Liv.
Vinny continued, “That’s what the estate agent said,” as he pondered his rash choice.
Mandy worried he might regret selling the apartment, so she suggested he rent it out for a while.
Vinny suddenly yelled, “I can’t stand it – all these memories, I just want shot of it all,” though.
When Mandy learned that her son was selling both of his apartments, she invited him to move in with her.
But Vinny admitted he “can’t stand being here anymore” because he is constantly thinking about Liv and wanted to leave the village altogether.
Because of his remarks, Emmerdale viewers believe Vinny will leave the ITV soap in upcoming scenes.
