Chloe Harris, a new mother in Emmerdale, was devastated to learn that her newborn son Reuben would not survive after having bacterial meningitis, according to the medics.
In recent Emmerdale scenes, Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) was preparing to flee the village in an effort to conceal her affair with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb).
However, when baby Reuben was taken by ambulance to the hospital, things took an unexpected turn.
When monitoring the infant’s temperature, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) became concerned and informed Chloe that they needed to go to A&E.
However, as the word got around the community, Mack began to worry and went to the hospital covertly behind Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) back.
It was eventually discovered that infant Reuben had bacterial meningitis and was being closely watched by the medical staff.
However, during Friday’s episode, it appeared that baby Reuben’s health had deteriorated, and the doctors told Chloe to prepare for the worst.
Mack appeared at the hospital as well, pleading with Chloe to let him meet his son.
Although this prompted Chloe to yell at Mack and tell him that he wasn’t Reuben’s father.
Mack argued, “I want to be here. More than anything else, “I want him to be ok.”
Chloe wept, “Well, he’s not okay and there’s nothing I can do about it.” I’m with my son, so I’m not alone.
