Because Mackenzie Boyd persuaded newcomer Darren to play poker against Vinny Dingle, Emmerdale viewers don’t trust him.
In the Woolpack during Thursday night’s hour-long Emmerdale special, newcomer Darren (Kyle Pryor’s character) appeared to try his luck with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) before she turned him down. Lawrence Robb’s character Mackenzie Boyd, who was nearby, questioned why Darren was still in the village. As soon as he returned to the poker table, Mack persuaded the newcomer to play against Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson).
I’m Darren, and you are Belle, I noticed your glass was empty, so I took the initiative, Darren said to Belle.
The popular Dingle woman, however, was having none of it and retorted, “Fussy who I drink with.”
Darren couldn’t help but interrupt Mack as he was talking to Charity (Emma Atkins) about the poker game.
He asked, “Bit of a gambler, are we?” Mack replied, “Why are you still here?”
Mack quickly changed his mind, though, and invited Darren to a game of poker. It was obvious, though, that Mack had another intention.
Mack inquired, “Do you fancy a little friendly flutter now as well?” The visitor responded, “I don’t know about friendly.
“I used to go to this easy pickings location near York. Knowing your opponent and figuring out a strategy to defeat him are crucial in poker.
Can I get you a second pint?
Before Charity questioned him about his motivations, Mack enquired.
Mack muttered, “He might be useful,” and he went to get a drink with Darren.
But after the episode, lots of viewers turned to social media to discuss who Darren really is and to speculate as to why he is living in the village.

Ryan continued, “I don’t trust Darren #Emmerdale,” before adding, “I wonder if Mack might strike a deal with Darren.”
Michelle Jones predicted: “Darren will soon be either sleeping or conning his way through the thick as mince village #Emmerdale.”
Emma warned, “I need Darren to stay away from Belle.
If Kim has already broken up with this t**t Darren, Chris P questioned, “Why is he hanging around pointlessly unless it’s part of a ridiculous subplot with Vinny?”

According to the user @meenajutlasiste, Kyle will appear as Flash Darren, Mackenzie’s new fling, in an upcoming episode of Emmerdale.
