Viewers of Emmerdale are convinced that Caleb Milligan is the father of a resident of the village.
Will Ash’s character Caleb Milligan made his Emmerdale debut on Christmas Day after being cautioned to avoid the community by his estranged brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley). Caleb, however, had no desire to carry out Cain’s commands from behind bars. Fans of the ITV soap opera believe that newcomer Caleb might be searching the Yorkshire Dales for his long-lost daughter.
As part of the holiday episode of the ITV soap, Caleb visited Cain in prison.
The newcomer to Emmerdale was informed that his mother Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) had passed away 30 years earlier.
Later, after running into his sister Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) in the village cemetery, Caleb revealed his identity to her.
While the future of Caleb has been kept under wraps by the writers, some viewers are adamant that he is Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) father.
Fans only know that Chloe’s father is a gangster who has served time in prison; however, they are unaware of who he is.
On Twitter, Steven Jones posted his hypothesis, stating: “Is [Caleb] a millionaire, is Chloe his daughter, or is he just out of prison?
“All will be revealed in the upcoming Emmerdale episodes.”
“It’s being suggested that Caleb (the newcomer) could be Chloe’s secret father,” Riley Collins wrote.
@TJuice247 said: “Where the hell is this gangster dad of Chloe’s? If you want to make things interesting then it’s about time you introduced him.”
Meanwhile, Tam added: “Can Chloe not return to her big posh house, crawl back to her daddy if he’s still in prison to beg for forgiveness etc? #Emmerdale.”
L was one of many viewers looking forward to Caleb’s storyline unfolding on the ITV soap.
She added: “Caleb is going to be a great addition to #Emmerdale.”
“At last, #Emmerdale is interesting again,” wrote Maya. Caleb, please bring the drama. (sic)
“It’s far from a happy festive reunion,” Emmerdale said when Caleb’s arrival was announced. “Caleb has lots of difficult questions he wants Cain to answer.”
When it becomes apparent that Cain has kept Caleb’s existence a secret from her since they were teenagers, the arrival of Caleb is likely to make things between the feuding siblings Cain and Chas even worse.
Will Caleb be welcomed by the community or might he quickly alienate people?
Why has she never revealed who he is to anyone before if he is Chloe’s father?
Considering that Charity Dingle, the partner of Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), is unaware that Chloe is carrying her partner’s unborn child, Chloe has a lot on her mind right now.
Will Caleb exact revenge on Mackenzie for having a sexual relationship with his daughter and abandoning her to raise the child on her own?
