Viewers of Emmerdale are almost certain that Kyle Winchester, and not his father Cain Dingle, was the villager who killed Al Chapman.
If the Emmerdale legend Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) doesn’t provide his defense attorney with an explanation for the businessman’s death, he may receive a life sentence for the murder of his bitter rival Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). Cain’s hearing to enter a plea is shortly, but he has not yet indicated what plea he will take. Many fans have been left to wonder if he is shielding his son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn), who may be “the real killer,” in response to this.
On Thursday’s episode of the soap opera, viewers disagreed as to whether Cain killed Al by shooting him.
Kyle asked if he could speak to Cain while he was on the phone with his wife Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) from behind bars.
Kyle, could you just give me a second, please, honey? Moira yelled.
She told Cain she wanted an explanation rather than an apology as she returned to her conversation with him.
Before Cain cut the call short, she remarked, “You are talking, but you are just not telling me anything.”
Cain kept his wife in the dark about the proceedings by failing to even inform her of his decision to enter a not-guilty plea.
Later in the episode, Cain spoke with his defense attorney, who requested to hear the hardman of the village’s version of what happened.
Cain made no indications, leaving viewers to speculate as to whom he might be guarding.
Kyle might be the one who actually shot Al after witnessing his father arguing with him. Is that the reason he wished so badly to call him?
Fans shared their theories about Kyle being the villager who actually shot Al on Twitter.
Absolutely was Kyle, wasn’t it?, Jess wrote. He wet the bed in his desperation to speak to Cain on the phone. (sic)
“I’m actually beginning to lean more and more toward the theory that Kyle shot Al,” Caucu said. Because he is defending his son, Cain doesn’t even attempt to defend himself in Emmerdale.
Vicky continued, “Kyle shot Al. Cain is taking the fall for his son because he witnessed him fighting with his father.
“However, Kerry will learn the truth and accept responsibility because she is quitting because Laura (the actress who plays her) needs some time to write after giving birth to her child. #Emmerdale.” (sic)
“I think Cain is covering for Kyle #Emmerdale,” Bernice Tucker said.
“Pretty obvious that Kyle is the real killer of Al, not Cain Dingle,” Mary wrote on Twitter.
I firmly disagree with @Pukfut95’s assertion that Aaron killed Al in #Emmerdale; instead, I think Kyle shot the man and Cain is defending his son.
Jeff, a Cain actor who debuted in Emmerdale 22 years ago, was recently chosen as the soap opera’s all-time greatest character.
If Cain’s character had to spend the rest of her life in prison, Emmerdale viewers would undoubtedly be devastated.
Speaking with the Loose Women panel earlier this week about his future on the ITV soap, Jeff said: “I’m worried every year, we are only on a year’s contract at a time.
Everyone is anxious during certain times of the year when people’s contracts are up in the air.
