Emmerdale fans are certain they have worked out how Kerry Wyatt will leave the ITV soap as she makes a life-changing decision.
After the storm caused their homes and businesses to be destroyed, as well as a birth and numerous deaths, Emmerdale residents have had a difficult few weeks. The murder of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), who was confronted about his relationship with Chas Dingle by Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), sent shockwaves through the community. When Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) learned that her fiance had been killed, she was devastated. In the scenes to come, she chooses to find solace in a guilty Chas.
As actress Laura goes on maternity leave, fans have now claimed to have “figured out” how Kerry will leave the soap opera.
Cain decided to confront Al and Chas after learning that they had been having an affair earlier in the week.
Kerry and Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) were blissfully unaware of what had been happening in other places.
Al was tricked into a meeting where Cain confronted him brandishing a shotgun. Cain later put the gun down and said that the purpose of the confrontation was simply to get Al’s attention.
The two men started to argue during the tense exchange and both reached for the gun before a shot was fired.
When Kerry and her long-lost daughter Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) heard the gunshot, Kerry went to investigate and was horrified to find her fiance dead with Cain standing by him holding the gun.
Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn), Cain’s son, was in a panic when she called the police, who arrived to pick him up.
Cain gave him a final hug before being taken into custody and later accused of killing Al.
However, it has recently been revealed that it was actually Kyle who shot Al, with Cain taking the fall for his son.
“I didn’t want him to get hurt,” Kyle told his mum, Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson). “I fell backwards and the gun went off.”
Cain explained to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) that he had changed when Kerry appeared on the scene and saw him wiping down the gun.
He told Kyle to go home before he hide the blood-stained jumper and told him: “Just act normal. Don’t cry. You’re going to be the man of the house now. Don’t let me down.”
However, fans have claimed they have worked out how Kerry will leave the soap and expect her to take Kyle with her for revenge.
One fan took to their Twitter page and said: “So I’m guessing that Kerry tales Kyle away from her maternity leave storyline.”
User @PlinksParties00 replied: “I was thinking the same thing. If Kerry finds out about Al and Chas and then works out that Cain killed Al, could she take Kyle as revenge?”
Linda Ashby agreed: “If Kerry takes Kyle with her I wonder if she does it in a malicious way, or whether she wants to shield him from what had happened, maybe not knowing he actually killed Cain?”
@King_KAINO theorised: “Hear me out. Kerry find out about Al and Chas. She confronts Cain where he slips up about Kyle. She kidnaps Kyle as revenge. Done.” (sic)
It hasn’t yet been revealed as to what Kerry’s exit storyline will be, however, viewers know she is on the way out after actress Laura recently gave birth to her second child.
She is set to be off screens in the coming months and the possibilities for her exit are endless given the amount of drama that has ensued recently.
Will Kerry get her revenge on Cain for losing her fiance by taking his child away from him?
