On Tuesday night, Caleb Milligan, a recent arrival to the village, was given a little more attention by Emmerdale viewers, some of whom thought he might be an undercover cop.
On Tuesday’s episode of Emmerdale, Chas Dingle (played by Lucy Pargeter) and Cain Dingle’s (played by Jeff Hordley) long-lost brother Caleb Dingle (played by Will Ash) were introduced to the rest of the Dingle family. Viewers had doubts about him because of his eagerness to learn all they could about the family members. Some believe he is an undercover policeman who will reveal Kyle Winchester’s (Huey Quinn) involvement in Al Chapman’s death (Michael Wildman).
Caleb and Chas had the chance to get to know one another better during the most recent episode of the ITV soap opera.
He even urged her to fight for custody of her and Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) daughter while remaining in the village.
Since learning that his wife Chas was having a passionate affair with Al just before Al was killed by Cain, Paddy has been devastated.
Few villagers are aware that Cain is really covering for Kyle, his son who committed the actual murder.
Fans pondered whether Caleb might reveal Kyle as he persisted in questioning Chas and the rest of the family in the Woolpack.
tweet from @Onelifee3: “The undercover policeman Caleb. Just after a murder, appearing out of nowhere to try to learn the truth about Al’s death. Getting close to the Dingles, particularly Chas and Moria [Barton].”
“I think a few tweeters have got it right – getting undercover cop vibes off Caleb – let’s hope he’s not another Spider #emmerdale,” Doreen Mortfitt said on Twitter.
Westie continued: “My guess was that [he] is shady and is either a cop himself or has been keeping an eye on his family ever since learning about Faith [Dingle]. #Emmerdale.”
Gavin Michael Greaves added: “I bet Caleb’s a copper to expose Kyle! #Emmerdale.”
If Kyle’s exposed as Al’s killer, will Cain get released from prison or will he continue trying to protect his 10-year-old son?
Elsewhere on Tuesday night’s instalment of the ITV soap, Paddy made it clear he wanted Chas to leave the village.
Paddy told Chas: “We can’t go on like this, going round in circles and knocking lumps out of each other.
Before we cause even more serious damage, you must fix the situation.
Chas was asked to leave Emmerdale after she said she would try her hardest to get along with Paddy.
But given that she lives and works in the Woolpack, Chas questioned how she could possibly leave the Dales.
Chas begged Paddy, “Paddy, please, I have nowhere else to go,” as Paddy declared his desire for sole custody of their daughter.
Paddy later learned that Chas’ long-lost brother Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) existed, but he advised her to get to know him outside of the village.
Caleb, who was watching, urged Chas to stay despite Paddy’s wishes as she began packing her bags.
When Paddy interrupted them and told her to “get away,” Chas vowed she would return to the family house.
