Paddy Kirk, a stalwart of Emmerdale, is having a difficult time accepting his wife Chas Dingle’s affair, but many viewers are confident he will give their marriage another chance.
The news that Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) had been having an affair with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) for months in Emmerdale devastated fan favorite Paddy Kirk (played by Dominic Brunt). As Paddy has refused to accept her apology, he has been attempting to evict Chas from their home. Fans of the ITV soap opera, however, think he might come to forgive Chas because even he hasn’t always been faithful.
Since Chas’ secret was revealed last week, Paddy has been suffering greatly.
Emmerdale’s episode from last night featured Paddy continuing to yell at his wife for refusing to leave the house.
You can’t just enter and expect things to be as they were, he raged.
Paddy warned Chas, “You’ve got a fight on your hands if you try to take my daughter away using my misery and my one night of self-pity.”
During the argument, Paddy’s coworker Rhona Goskirk (Zoey Henry) advised him to take a break from the veterinary clinic because he almost fatally overdosed a dog on a sedative.
She uttered: “Even though it might feel extremely raw right now, Paddy, you’ll figure out a way to make it work.
“You just need to keep in mind that even though you might no longer be in love with each other, you both still adore your daughter dearly.
You just need to give each other some room, and everything will work out.
Social media users shared their predictions for Paddy and Chas’ future during the episode.
Some emphasized how Paddy had previously been unfaithful to his partners and thought that after thinking about his own errors, he might be able to forgive Chas.
It seemed ironic that Rhona was counseling Paddy on relationships since she had cheated on him when they were married.
Throughout their marriage, he was also unfaithful to Emily Kirk (Kate McGregor).
Claire Leahy tweeted: “Maybe Paddy needs to remember what he did to Rhona before with that Tess. Chas is completely wrong but he’s the same as her #emmerdale.”
Emma Buckland replied: “Didn’t he also cheat on Emily with Viv?”
Fox remarked: “I’m fairly certain Paddy has cheated on someone before. #emmerdale.”

However, Gemma Edwards said: “I wish people would stop bringing Paddy’s past into it. He didn’t force and manipulate anyone into leaving, did he?
“He owned up to what he did but Chas is still playing the victim so bore off #emmerdale.”
Ryan commented: “I’m sick of Chas constantly feeling sorry for herself. She’s shattered Paddy’s life and Chas acts like it’s no big deal.”
