Gabby Thomas of Emmerdale has not taken Nicky’s rejection well, but does the newcomer to the ITV soap have his sights set on another villager?
On Wednesday’s episode of Emmerdale, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), who attempted to kiss Nicky (Lewis Cope) while intoxicated, had a heart-to-heart with Nicky. Nicky explained to her that he did not want to “blur the lines” between them and risk losing his job as a nanny. However, viewers are persuaded that the reason he isn’t interested in Gabby is because he has feelings for a married villager.
In the most recent episode, Gabby told Nicky about her attempt to kiss him the night before while she was drunk.
Nicky explained to a shocked Gabby, “It’s not that I’m not flattered, I just don’t want to blur the lines.”
In response to Gabby’s deflated expression, Nicky said, “I like my job too much to lose it.
Later, after Dawn Taylor’s children overheard her being reminded about her past as a prostitute, Gabby and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) ended up fighting.
Dawn sobbed in front of her father and said: “Dad, they are just young children. I yearned to protect them from everything.”
Nicky, who works for Kim Tate (Claire King), ran into Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) while she was cleaning and brought her laundry there.
Lydia explained to Nicky, who appeared perplexed, “I gave the fridge a clear out too, it’s all out of date, you lot won’t eat it but Sam and Samson will.”
Nicky answered: “Someone is filling their boots at the laundromat and takeout. I’ll keep your secret safe, so don’t worry.”
The conversation between the two seemed a little flirtatious to Emmerdale viewers, who thought Nicky might approach Lydia in upcoming scenes.
Doreen Morfitt tweeted: “Story twist – Nicky has the hots for Lydia #emmerdale.”
Elizabeth Scott replied: “That’s what I was thinking. Or there’s something dodgy about him.”
However, Brandon suggested: “Nicky is after #Dawn not #Gabby on#Emmerdale.”
Peter wrote in the meantime: “#Emmerdale I have a feeling Nicky will end up being a nasty character.
Adding, “I didn’t think Lydia would be a bit cheeky with the “past the sell-by date” stuff from Kim’s fridge and using her washing machine,” McWhiskers had another theory.
I’m unsure if Nicky will blackmail her, but I suppose that’s how he’d say he’d tell Kim. It’s not much to blackmail someone over.
Could Nicky and Lydia develop an unlikely romance, or would she stick by Sam Dingle (Jame Hooton), her husband?
Before Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) accidentally knocked his drink over, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was perusing the sketches his son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) had made.
Do you realize the amount of effort Kyle put into that? Cain was furious with Moira.
I understand that you’re upset about the hearing and the visit that will take place tomorrow, but that doesn’t give you the right to attack people, she retorted.
Moira said, “You always do Cain, that’s what worries me,” in response to Cain’s apology for acting too strongly.
“I pray to God that Kyle is granted bail and released tomorrow. Our lives won’t be worth living if you stay this angry and things don’t go his way.
