Because Matty Barton blackmailed his family about Al Chapman’s murder, viewers of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale believe Matty Barton will die in upcoming scenes.
On Emmerdale, Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) was never supposed to learn that Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) had murdered Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). Few people in the neighborhood are aware that Cain Dingle, Matty’s 10-year-old stepfather (Jeff Hordley), is actually covering for his son. Fans feared Cain might silence Matty after he threatened Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) in the most recent ITV soap opera episode, saying he would tell the village Kyle killed Al.
In the Emmerdale episode airing on Wednesday, Matty was driven to learn the real reason Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Moira had taken off with Kyle.
When Matty revealed he had a visiting order to see Cain in prison, Cain’s sister Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) was left in a state of panic.
Cain was present when Matty presented his case to him there, but the hard man from the soap immediately shot it down.
Cain believed he had allayed Matty’s concerns, but Matty didn’t buy a word of it.
Later, Matty was informed by Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) that Kyle was actually the real murderer. Matty was not happy about being left out of the loop.
You need to keep quiet, Mackenzie said to Matty as she spoke outside The Woolpack.
But Matty retorted, “You need to pull out your phone and call my mom because if you don’t I am going to go inside and tell the whole pub that Kyle shot Al – and don’t think I won’t because I am that close.”
“Mum, you need to come home and bring Amy and Kyle with you,” Matty yanked the phone away from Mackenzie and said to Moira.
“Mack has told me everything; you must return home immediately, or I may take further action.”
Fans of Emmerdale flocked to Twitter to share their theories about what might happen to Matty after his extortion scheme.
“Cain should get somebody to beat Matty up for threatening to tell about Kyle,” Linda Nutbein advised.
Michelle wrote: “Matty is so immature it’s sad! By this time, #Emmerdale, Cain would have chased Matty out of the village if he was still there.”
“Is Matty just thinking about himself here?!” exclaimed Kelly. The best course of action was to remove Kyle in order to prevent it from spreading, and now he’s threatening to inform everyone if they don’t return? #Emmerdale.”
Ryan continued, “Now that Mack has just confessed to Matty #Emmerdale, Cain is going to go berserk.”
I’m not sure how Amy will respond if you threaten to drop her son in it, Matty, because you weren’t given the big secret, Eileen remarked.
“By exhibiting a hissy fit because you feel left out, you just proved them correct. #Emmerdale.”
“Matty cares about his mother, girlfriend, and Kyle so much that he’s extorting them to return home or he’ll talk about the shooting,” @CxxPIPxx wrote. #Emmerdale.”
