Emmerdale youngster Kyle Winchester has had a tough time of late, especially after he was ripped away from his parents after shooting Al Chapman.
Emmerdale bad boy Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) tried to take the fall for his son after he accidentally shot Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). But the guilt got too much for Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) and he quickly came clean to the police, but now he could face a murder trial. To make matters worse, Kyle was initially put into care, leaving Cain and his mum, Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) devastated.
Amy and Kyle have already left the village once, but it’s possible that they’ll soon make a second exit.
According to ITV’s official spoilers, Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is overjoyed when Amy reiterates that their engagement is about her love for him and not just a ruse to win custody of Kyle. Matty’s encouragement gives Amy courage.
In the struggle for Kyle’s future, Cain soon enlists the help of his half-brother Caleb Miligan (Will Ash), but Moira Barton (Natalie Robb) begs him not to make matters worse.
But as Caleb intervenes, upsetting Amy, it quickly turns into a fight between the two parties.
After Amy’s encounter with Caleb, Matty reassures her, but things quickly turn violent.
Kyle and Carl Jr., the son of Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), get into a fight.
Amy is soon terrified by Nicola’s threat to report Kyle to the police.
Cain immediately accuses Amy of being responsible for the incident, but later Amy and Cain beg Nicola not to call the police.
However, Amy’s plea convinces Nicola to change her mind, which makes Cain feel bad knowing that the neighborhood views Kyle’s violence as a reflection of his parenting.
Soon Moira is in disbelief as Cain informs her that they must release Kyle for his own good.
Cain, who believes that he is a bad influence on Kyle, is horrified by Moira and plans to completely cut himself off from Kyle’s life in addition to giving Amy full custody of his son.
To give his son a fresh start, he wants the couple to relocate.
A broken-hearted Moira warns Cain that his decision will haunt him until the day he passes away.
Will Amy, however, take advantage of the chance to have Kyle to herself and leave the community as a result?
Following Kyle’s storyline, fans have also used social media to share their own predictions for what will happen.
“Amy acting like she has the moral high ground, but unlike her Cain hasn’t killed anyone,” tweeted @1stLadyHooligan on Twitter.
I think it’ll be interesting to see how Kyle responds to Amy asking for full custody; I don’t think he’ll take it well, and maybe it’ll push her off. (sic)
Writing as Doreen Morfitt: “How many individuals are aware of Mack and Chloe? Will Charity be the one to fire the shotgun next? Will she instead simply ask Kyle to do it? #Emmerdale.”
Wini continued, saying: “Cain is correct. Amy wants to keep Kyle far away from him. How things turn out is going to be
interesting.”
